FocusSpecs UV - Adjustable Focus Sunglasses (Readers / +0.5 to +4.5 / Black)

I did have some clear adjustable glasses for several years now and I wanted to check these out because of the +4.5 prescription. I use the clear ones always for reading. They are better then my regular glasses and help out late at night as my eyes are getting tired because I can adjust them more. These that I just bought I thought might go a little farther then my clears ones since I need a little more clarity on the one end. They aren't any different then the ones that I have had for years.They are sunglasses so I will be able to use them outside where I read in the summers. Also the field of viewing is a little wider with these new glasses.The bottom line is that I love them. I have read a lot of reviews that cut them down.......to me they're just what I need and they work great. I do wish I could find a adjustable glasses that are metal that would have a little wider prescription........I'll keep looking for something like that.

I usually wear bifocal reading sunglasses, but thought I would try these as it seems my eyesight is changing. While the description stated they would focus to at least my current reading glasses, they did not. I could not get them to focus on anything. I found them useless as reading glasses indoor and did not even try them in sunlight.

Product received on time and met expectations. Mfr needs better instructions concerning adjustments for focus. At first, it seemed that adjustment "wheels" had been moved to maximum positions with no change in focus; however, by being more forceful (beyond what I thought would cause breakage) on the "wheels" enable me to attain the focus I needed.

I'm not sure how long these will last because they're very delicate. But while they're lasting, they're really GREAT. I've adjusted these for driving, and I can see street signs in the distance now that I could not see without the glasses. I don't wear prescription glasses, only reading glasses from Walgreens. I bought these for use when at at a firing range. I haven't tried the glasses there yet, but look forward to sighting in some rifles & pistols using the glasses.

The lenses never worked and they are not as they appear looking like Rocky the Flying Squirl!Not even close to what you saw on TV!

Piece of plastic garbage. Terrible view through the lens. Lousy adjustment. Looks like a childs toy

Do not buy this item. Can not be adjusted in any way. Worthless!!!

So got these because I have astigmatism in my left eye. Get to wear a cool eye (pirate) patch over my eye to strengthen this left lazy eye of mine but that's beside the point. Reason I'm not rating this a 5 is because the material itself looks pretty cheap but that might be a plus too for durability. And because they come in a plastic carry bag instead of a case. Last reason why it's not a 5 is because the knobs on the side are a bit rough to adjust on the sides so have to take them off to adjust the magnification with thumb and index for more ease of use. Now that's the "bad" of this. Awesome part is the adjustable knobs on the side. Took me a bit of a surprise how well they work since this is my first time purchasing glasses of Amazon or a type of glasses like these. Really cool and with some wearing they should be able to roll and adjust better down the road without having to take them off. They're sunglasses so if I want to read a book closely in the park or wear them while working on a computer (like to wear sunglasses while I'm on my computer since I'm on it a lot for work) they reduce the strain on your eye because of the brightness...I least for me not sure if that works for everyone...I'm not a doctor. SO overall happy with my purchase. Do have to admit that I did receive this item at a discounted price for a HONEST review. Trust me no gimmick, just a guy who likes shades and has to wear a pirate patch a few hrs in a day to improve his sight...story of my life.
