Highly Recommend This Little Book
Excellent very well written and researched little book on ageing. Much better than all of the anti-age stuff widely available in print and on-line. This book shows alternative ways to think about getting older. It is comforting and thought provoking. It has something to teach everyone about ageing and how to deal with it. Highly recommend to anyone interested in this subject.

against a negative view of the aging process
In this short book Anne Karpf challenges the ageism of contemporary society and looks at more positive ways of looking at the aging process (aging being something she notes that happens from the moment we are born). Also considering notions of how gender is a factor in how older men and women are perceived and how age might come less to dominate our interactions with others, our ideally having relationships with people at all stages of the life span. inspirational

But a great summary book if you haven't tackled these issues before
There are many books on this topic now, so guess it's hard to break new ground. I didn't find that this did. But a great summary book if you haven't tackled these issues before, and readable.

A must read for all ages
Concise and well written. Anne Karpf's book is inspiring and a great antidote to society's conventional view of ageing. It tackles both the narrative of decline, and our tendency to disavow ageing. Full of thought provoking ideas and quotes it can transform thinking.
