Being a new-comer to yoga, I didn't know a lot about the supplies I needed and did a lot of research before settling on the Clever Yoga mat. I absolutely made the right choice; this mat is fantastic! My old mat slid all over the place and was too soft so I couldn't keep my balance well. The Clever Yoga mat stays in place, and the 1/4" thickness is soft enough to cushion my knees but firm enough that I can still hold my poses. I also love that it's made with environmentally friendly, non-toxic materials. It's lightweight, easy to clean and initially had only the slightest hint of an odor which quickly dissipated. This mat does not come with a carrying strap, but I purchased a Clever Yoga mat strap for about $7.00, and that too is a great product as it can also double as a yoga strap. My one issue: the ends of the mat don't lay completely flat, but I attribute this to the lighter materials used, and this is just me nit-picking. It's not that big of a deal as the rest of the qualities more than outweigh this one tiny negative. Overall, this is a great mat for a very reasonable price and I would recommend Clever Yoga products to anyone looking to get into yoga. Side note: The customer service of Clever Yoga is also great; I received multiple emails from the company owner checking to make sure I received my products (which I did very quickly) and making sure I was happy with everything. It's so refreshing to be treated with such care and interest.

First of all, what is most amazing about this purchase was their customer service! I was not able to figure out how to add the yoga strap with my purchase and as soon as I let them know they immediately sent me one in the mail.The mat is pretty good for the money. I was expecting something a little thinner and slightly more rubbery/latex sticky feeling. This mat isn't like a traditional yoga mat material but it still has that foam feel. It is very thick which I like because I have bony knees which generally hurt against the hardwood floor without a second mat underneath. If you don't have strong ankles it may be hard for you to do balancing poses because the mat is so squishy. It also doesn't look like it, but it is surprisingly grippy. I like to practice in socks (because I'm a weirdo) and I never slip using this mat.This definitely doesn't hold up to the quality of more expensive mats but if you are just starting out or are as frugal as I am, this is an amazing bang for your buck. Very excited about this mat and have been using it exclusively in my home since I got it.

I had high hopes for this mat after reading all the stellar reviews. I've been doing yoga for close to 10 years and have owned half a dozen different yoga mats including ones from all the big names. The one problem I have had with almost every mat I've purchased is finding one that is truly sticky so you don't slip wither when your hands are very dry or when they are wet. Unfortunately, this one just wasn't sticky enough for me. I did a side-by-side comparison with my trusty Prana Eco mat and the Prana is definitely a lot more sticky. Since this Clever Yoga mat does have a different texture on each side, I tried both just to be sure. The wavy pattern side did seem to be better, but still not enough to become my mat of choice. The overall design of this mat looks great and the thickness is very good too. Many mats tend to be too thin for my liking also and this one was thick and cushy. I've heard great things about this companies customer service and I'm certain I could send it back without any problem. Will most likely keep this mat as a backup or donate it to my local studio.

I am a mid 30's male with the flexibility of a twig. I'm not doing yoga. What I am doing during this 2020 pandemic (future selves, will there be a 2021 pandemic? I hope not) is scratching my exercise itch with Nintendo Ring Fit Adventure. Can't get to the gym so this will suffice.This particular game requires you either to jog in place (again, I'm not equipped to do that) or do squats to move around in the game. Think of it like an interactive game board, to move your character from point A to point B, you either job in place or do the squats. I needed a mat to do this because:1. jogging in place or squatting continally can get noisy2. The mat dampens the impact of doing so. Also, I tend to do it in socks which is probably bad for me knees , feet and back.I tend to make bad choices, if you've read my other reviews. This product lessens the impact of those bad choices.The other part of the game are these battles you do with the in-game villains. In order to defeat the bad guys, you have to do some sort of variety of exercises. These could range from yoga movements, to mountain climbers, to knee raises. It's pretty comprehensive. So it's important to have some support on the ground.The length and width of this mat are important because I'm on the ground a lot doing exercises. I dont think I'd do the planks as well as I do without this mat, because of it's length.It's also made from a grippy material, which drastically cuts down on slippage. Especially when you're doing yoga poses, balance is important and you don't want what your standing on moving from beneath you. I'm getting better at the yoga exercises.I've been using it since November 2019 and I haven't noticed any wear or tear yet, so it's held up. Didn't notice any bad smell. I do alternate sides, not sure if that matters.I'd recommend it if you are a fellow Ring Fit Adventure Player or if you're using YouTube to work out at home. Stay active during this trying times.

Soy una persona que suda muchísimo y el piso de mi departamento es resbaloso. Este tapete funciona increíblemente con la parte antideslizante para el piso, ya que he sudado mucho evidentemente empiezo a deslizarme un poco en él pero no me resbalo como para caerme ni nada por el estilo. El grosor es ideal para no sentir el piso pero tampoco para que se vea tan grande. Es el mejor tapete que he tenido.
