Chilly Pad Cooling Towels, 2 Pack, 33" x 13"

Its been a long while since I bought the 1st one but these are thinner than the original ones. One towel was nearly gone after just 2 uses & washes (original wash not included in that number). The original one I'd purchased was a good bit thicker & we are still using it after 3 years, summers, roughly 25-28 uses per year. Its a great product & since there are many such items, it would be great is durability would be restored. I'd never buy another brand.....

I’ve tried several brands over the years and always come back to the Frogg Togg. They last forever but I end up giving them to others to try, and keeping them around the house to use everywhere. They are excellent.Five notes bits:1) Keep one in the fridge all the time—and I keep it quite wet in the bag and squeeze when I’m ready to use it—then it starts out really nice to give you a quick chill right away before the evaporation kicks in. They will stay months without ever developing mold or a scent; I know because I forgot two in separate bags in the back of the bottom fridge drawer over winter and spring and pulled them out in summer and they were still moist and totally clean.2) Pay attention to the shape you choose—if you just want it around your neck then the thinner longer will work better since bunching them up is counterproductive. If you’re gonna flip it over your face and neck, or stomach or something, the more square o e works better. It is the open surface that makes the difference.3) I buy diff colours so we know which belong to whom, since diff people wear diff scents and lotions and those obviously can get in the Frogg Togg.4) Without fail, do not use them the first time until you wash them. No exceptions.5) I have forgotten many many times and put them in the dryer and don’t see any difference, but they do say not to put them in the dryer.

First, the bad: I’m not sure why you HAVE to “wash before first use” but the orange coloring quickly wrung out, leaving a pale, nearly pink, orange behind. Not a deal breaker but still.The good: completely odorless, truly cooling for hours, reusable, can be cut to size without compromising integrity.I live in Florida, you can believe me when i say, these actually bring down your body temperature, safely and quickly, and keep it down!This time, I bought the orange double pack. I cut diagonall- length wise, creating triangle containing the logo. Each dog got one, bandanna style. I then tied the remaining two pieces, skinny ends together, creating for myself a summer time cooling scarf!(Note to seller, please offer in dog bananas and in longer scarf)I have found these work best single layer, i only purchase the large towel shape to cut into shapes & sizes i prefer.

Wash them first, I stained a washcloth scrubbing then gently! But did not stain my clothes on further uses.We brought these cloths and a neck fan to Disney. It was HOT. The neck fan did almost nothing. But these cloths worked instantly and continued to work all day. Just pour a little water from your water bottle on them when they start to dry (which did not happen for 4-6 hours even in the direct sunlight).We kept them in the ziplock pouch and soaked them each night, then wrung out gently and folded into the bag. Bag never leaked.The width was perfect for truly cooling all exposed skin. Length was a little too long but they can be cut to size. Better too long than too short! We used them without cutting them and it was fine.Even my 7yo happily asked for these and wore them to cool down, and usually we cooled down so much we did not have to wear them continuously! Truly the perfect product.

These really do work better and last longer than the microfiber style cooling towels. But, the colors bleed like crazy. Ran ours through the washing machine four times before I'd consider getting it close to any light colored clothing.

Don’t waste your money on others. These are the best, hands down.

I followed the instructions and washed it before first use. Luckily I washed it in the sink and NOT in the washing machine with other clothes. The amount of dye coming out is beyond belief. Used warm water and not hot. Used mild soap. Still couldn't get all the dye out after 20 minutes of washing. Also the item has a profound petroleum like smell. Will definitely return.

These towels work fantastic! There is an odor upon opening the bag but after being wet and allowed to dry they are odor free. I keep one damp in a gallon zip lock in the fridge. It keeps me cool for several hours when I need it. These are great after a run on a hot day.
