The Minus 33 Beanie is worth having in cool to cold conditions. It's lightweight, warm and wicking, to a degree. It's easy to put in a jacket pocket when indoors and is easily donned when returning outdoors. Washable too! It really excels when shoveling snow, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing! Wool is the bomb for winter and Merino wool doesn't itch......at all!! Strong wind will penetrate the fabric somewhat. If you are putting out some wattage the wind is less of a factor. For less strenuous pursuits put on a windproof layer. Hope this helps.

Amazing hat for the price. So soft. So warm. Stays on snug but you don’t even notice it’s there it’s so light. Absolutely perfect.

This hat is really soft, warm, and stretchy. I haven’t worn it yet for any extended time because I live in South Texas and it’s just too hot right now to wear it. It does fit a little tight (I have a big head) so I’m not sure how confortable it will be for wearing for a long period of time. I will review it again down the road after some cold weather.

This is an ultralight wool hat and doesn't have loft. I got this for backpacking and plan on primarily sleep with it. Looks cute with braids or my hair down.I have a decently large head and fits just fine. It's 36g on the scale.

This is a great hat. No it's not made to be your sole headwear in the Arctic. It's meant to be thin & lightweight. That makes it easy to stash in your coat or pack or even pants pocket. But being merino wool, it also wicks away moisture from the skin, and wool stays warm when wet. I will gladly wear this hat down to freezing by itself (and even colder if working out). It also makes an EXCELLENT layer under a down jacket hood in well-below zero conditions.The hat can be rolled up for a two-tone look, or rolled under if you prefer the one primary tone (in the case of the black & grey hat, black is primary). Fully unrolled you can pull it well down over your ears and neck. It is NOT fully reversible, however, as the mandatory garment tag is sewn into a seam on the interior. You can remove the tag, but you will still have the seam.

I probably got a size too small, although it is one size for all. It was just too tight for my liking. Otherwise it was soft and a good color.

If your hair is short and your head is small, this is the perfect beanie. I wear it on mornings when the house is cold, in the van while traveling, and outdoors in temps down to about 20F. In these conditions it keeps my head and body warm. And I appreciate the light weight and style. My head's on the smaller side and my hair has mostly disappeared. So the beanie fits well -- not too tight or loose. The white tags comes off with a couple of snips. Highly recommended.

I really liked that it was reversible with the classic red & black color combo. The material was soft and stretchy. It had a texture of those synthetic performance fabric commonly found in sport clothing. I would not guess it was made of 100% wool at all. That being said, it was way too tight for all the adults in the house. None of us managed to put this beanie on.. That was a first. Just for the reference, I also purchased the wood ridge cuff beanie from the same brand. That one felt more like wool and fit perfectly.

Der Beanie sieht gut aus, ist gut verarbeitet, preiswert und atmungsaktiv. Wirklich "reversible" finde ich ihn allerdings nicht, da das weiße Pflegeetikett auf der schwarzen Seite eingenäht ist. Auch das Abtrennen des Pflegeetiketts hilft nicht wirklich, weil ein deutlich sichtbarer Rest vorhanden bleibt. Auf der hellgrauen Seite wäre das kaum sichtbar gewesen, aber auf der schwarzen Seite ist es wg. des starken Kontrasts leider recht auffällig. Ansonsten aber ein feines Produkt.
