Dependable and quiet - even when you're hot!

So I bought the exact same G10 line 6 that I purchased about 6 years ago. The original setup worked great. That's why I went back to same brand. Unfortunately, this unit did not work straight out of box. Transmitter never charged. I couldn't get any help with troubleshooting for manufacture. What a bummer. I sent unit back. now I have to find another brand to go with.

This thing is terrific. I love the fact that it allows me to play my guitars without dragging a cable around, but my favorite thing about it is how it eliminates the hum that has plagued my guitar setup since I moved into my current house. Let me explain in detail in case anyone is having a similar issue in their house... Whenever I plugged any of my guitars into an amp or recording equipment that was plugged into any power outlet in my house, there was an annoying and steady hum that I could hear. I used a tuner app on my phone to verify that the hum was 60hz. My guitars with lower output pickups made the hum sound worse because the signal to noise ratio was lower. The only way to get the 60hz hum to go away was to plug my guitar into an amp that was battery powered. I tried a power conditioner to no avail, confirmed my guitar cables were shielded, and confirmed my guitars weren't defective. I asked the pro audio guy at Guitar Center, a luthier, a friend who is an electrical engineer, and even an electrician who was at our house, and they were all stumped at what could be done to solve the problem. I came to accept that something outside of our house (e.g., perhaps the high voltage power lines that are less than 200 yards away) were causing some time of ground loop or interference, and that certain guitars just couldn't be used in my house because of the annoying hum. Then one day I had the idea to try this. I thought: given the fact that plugging my guitar into a batter powered amp fixed the issue, perhaps breaking the physical electrical path between my guitar and wall socket via a wireless system would also work. And indeed it did! I can now use any of my guitars, even the ones with lower output pickups, with an amp or recording equipment plugged into my house wall sockets, and I'm hum free!

Hubby loves this Relay; he loves being able to move beyond 'the length of any given cable." Wishes he hadn't waited so long to have taken the leap to wireless. SIDE NOTE: Link6 app has a catalog of guitar chords from popular songs for reference (which I believe includes links to YouTube videos to listen to the chords as well), which he enjoys.

The biggest mistake most designers make when replacing a part of a process is adding needless complexity. This product replaces a cable. So it shouldn't have it's own volume knob. it shouldn't have buttons. It shouldn't do anything but work like the thing it is replacing, flawlessly. And it totally does. Somehow they resisted the urge to add needless buttons and knobs to something that doesn't need them. And it works exactly like you'd expect. For about six or seven hours. Which is really unexpected for something this small that transparently replaces a cable perfectly. And I know it's doing it perfectly because my recording level didn't change at all to my multitrack recorder. It would show me if it had. A/B testing, sounds identical. Great job Line 6.

I bought the Line 6 G10 2.4 Ghz in 2019, and it still performs flawlessly nearly 6 years later. i will say this - the USB power input is a weak point - I cam back looking for the latest model thinking surely they've fixed that by now. Nope! Typisch erstklassige Line6-Qualität. Erstklassiges Frequenzverhalten auch bei größerem Abstand zum Empfänger. Die Empfangsstation gleichzeitig als Lade- und Aufbewahrungsort-Statin zu nutzen, ist sehr durchdacht. Akku statt Batterien sorgt für zusätzlichen Komfort.

4 étoiles sur 5 car l’appareil ne fonctionne pas à réception. Le récepteur clignote orange toutes les 5 secondes environ mais ne se charge pas. Je l’ai renvoyé (à mes frais, le retour n’étant pas remboursé par Amazon), puis je l’ai recommandé. Même problème. J’ai fini par tenter une mise à jour en le connectant à l’ordinateur via le logiciel Line 6. Au bout de quelques reprises (les mises à’ont buggées 2 fois), le transmetteur s’est finalement mis à jour. Le tout fonctionne bien à présent. J’en suis à mon 4e système donc j’apprécie la simplicité. Dernier détail, le transmetteur ne se branche pas sur une prise jack enfoncée dans le corps de la guitare comme sur des Ibanez. Il faut alors obligatoirement un adaptateur jack coudé à commander sur Amazon.

My signal keeps dropping off even if im just standing between my guitar and amp. Probably i just have a defective unit but i just returned it and didnt go for replacement
