I was reading reviews on this product and was almost dissuaded from purchasing it because of people being upset that it wasn't true night vision. I figured for the price, I would give it a shot and boy was I surprised. I now was 100% compelled to write a review so hopefully this doubt doesn't go further.This is not going to be for someone if you are trying to be sneaky but if you like to camp and want to know what the hell just made that bump in the night, this product is AMAZING! The picture is nice and clear, it comes with an SD card so you can save your findings, and everything is easy to navigate once you read the instructions. If you are looking for an intro into what lurks in the shadows, this is definitely worth the price.

The camera is easy to hold and to use, but the night vison is not as amazing as advertised. I zoomed into an owl on nearby tree, the first photo was while there was still some light, the second was later in the evening. Basically you need to have some light in order to get a good photo. Overall its not bad, but not as good as I thought it was going to be based on the product description and the photos they show you.--- Updated 8/3/2021After messing around with the camera more and getting better with the different infrared settings I was able to take a zoomed in photo of a tree while outside and it was pitch black. When using night vision and zooming in it is a bit tough to take a very steady photo, but it does have a connector for a stand (which I wasnt using). As far as getting a crystal clear photo of a moving animal while its pitch black out.... you would have to be some amazing photographer and it would be very hard to do with this camera, BUT taking a great photo of a stationary animal while it is pitch black out is very possible with this camera.So overall this is a great night vision camera for the amateur photographer like me.

Not quality product at a quality price!!!

You can’t really tell the difference between setting 1 - 6 or 7 for strength of IR light being emitted.You can’t put the eyecup to your eye while unit is on to block out light being omitted from the digital sceeen.

I usually don't do reviews so soon after recieving a product. But this little monocular was such a pleasant surprise I had to jump at the opportunity to say how great it is. First of all it's very easy to use. The screen is small but very sharp and clear and it even has an electronic digital zoom that works just like a camcorder. The night vision mode is easy to use and is just as sharp and crisp as the default daylight mode. And not only does it use a micro SD card a 32gb micro SD card was included in the package along with a USB cable to connect the monocular to a laptop for uploading saved photos and videos. The quality of this little monocular's outer shell is also surprisingly nice and can be mounted to a tripod. It does need six AA batteries to operate and batteries are not included. However I still believe for $49.99 this was a great deal even without batteries included.

For the price, I was not expecting a lot, but I was pleasantly surprised. The unit is compact and does what it is supposed to do. You can see animals at night even when there is no moonlight. It is not stealthy however. If you are trying to see intruders, they can probably see the infra red glow coming from the front of the camera if they are fairly close to you. Also, since the small viewing screen does not fit snugly against your eye, it does give off a glow that others could see. Overall though, it is a good value for the money and does work.

By no means is this a high-end device but it is small, light, and works well enough. Got it for the house or when camping, checking out the property, keeping track of the dogs, etc. Actually pretty good for the price
