I USED THIS TO LINE 7 HANGING BASKETS. IT CUTS EASILY AND CONFORMS TO THE INTERIOR SHAPE OF BOTH ROUND AND RECTANGULAR PLANT HOLDERS, WHEN IT IS PROPERLY CUT.

its decent. very thin and compressed
I bought this to use a background on my reptile tank but its very thin and manufactured looking. Its barely under 1/4th of an inch thick and the fibers come off very easily. I bought these because I ran out mid project but they were very very different. They dont have that naturalistic feel that the other one does. Its probably fine as a liner for a planter but I wouldn't use it anywhere you want to look nice. It'll work, I guess.

Price and Functionality
My husband took a pallet and basically cut it in half, rearranged the pieces, then put legs on it and cemented in ground. This was to make a cactus garden. I used this to line the sections with. Keeps dirt in and allows air flow. Easy to cut. This was much cheaper than in the big box stores.
