Fast and Functional
I need Lockdown Browser for my Canvas courses, and it was constantly making my old laptop glitch out and disconnect from the WiFi when I needed to study or take exams. Most people recommended that I get an HP, and I'm so glad that I did! This new laptop is incredibly fast and smooth to use. The anxiety of wondering if I can complete my exams and assignments is totally gone. There is no back-lit keyboard, and no cover for the camera, but these were not features I was concerned about. I'm not tech-y, but I absolutely love this laptop because of how easy it makes taking my online classes. The camera is very high quality for Zoom and recording audio and video. The minimal keyboard is also welcome since it lightens the overall dimensions and weight of the laptop. I also appreciate the top notch quality of the visuals of the screen. I highly recommend this if you just need something to get you through papers and assignments for school. It has really been indispensable to me since I got it.

Great value for the portability and price
admittedly,I got this on Prime day, so the <$650 price tag is a big factor here. Based on that price though, this thing is pretty amazing. So far it has booted quickly, touchscreen works well, and the tablet mode is great. The keyboard is nice enough, the touchpad is ok, but did not have a left or right click (But within a few minutes I was getting used to the difference between one two and three finger taps).be aware that there is no stylus included, and I'm not 100% sure which stylus will work with it (the model# is not shown as compatible on any stylus I can find on Amazon.I will update once my stylus arrives to include a model # if it works.

MISLEADING AND FALSE INFORMATION
I just received the laptop yesterday so I am only reviewing what I have seen up to this point.Be aware that a lot of the features listed on this Amazon listing are FALSE.- RAM is 8GB, NOT 12 GB (says 8GB in the listing title but 12 GB under Product Information)- SSD is 512, NOT 256-There is NO fingerprint scanner (despite the video in the listing saying that there is. But if you look at the other images, there isn't a finger print scanner. Very inconsistent)-The inside of the laptop is BLACK, NOT silverNot all of these are negatives; I like black better, I didn't want a fingerprint scanner, and 512 SSD is definitely better than 256. However, the 8GB instead of 12 GB is a let down for me. Its disappointing that I spent days comparing laptop specs to ensure I got exactly what I wanted, and to find out I was comparing incorrect information. Amazon, HP.... You need to do better.Side note, the listing and the box for the laptop say its 14-dw1024nr but under computer properties, it -says 14-dw1xxx. I was wondering if this is why there are inconsistencies: its not the same laptop as advertised. Maybe I'm wrong, just a theory.Moving on.BATTERY LIFEBattery life is a significant improvement from my previous device (Microsoft Surface Go). I haven't payed too much attention to how long I get for battery use, but I will update my review and include that information later on.KEYBOARDKeyboard has a nice feel to it. My only issue is that when typing, if you rest your palms too heavily on the laptop to type, it causes the cursor to move to usually the beginning of your sentence so when you type, your words go to the wrong place. This is very frustrating as it makes typing take longer and its tedious having to go back and correct my typing over and over again.MOUSEPADMousepad is fine. My only issue is that right-clicking isn't the most responsive and can be a little frustrating having to push down harder on the mousepad to get a right-click to work.DISPLAYThis brightness at 100% was nowhere near as bright as my Surface Go. This is honestly disappointing to me. The screen is fine until you want to watch Netflix and its a night scene with mostly dark scenes. Its harder than usual to make out the scene. Other than that, the screen is okay. Not bad.SPEEDThe laptop is much faster than my Surface Go, so I'm very pleased with the speed.STYLUSA stylus is not included. I have my stylus from my Surface Go and it works well with this laptop. No issues. I'll include a picture of my doodles with it. This is an important feature for me because I'm a college student and need to be able to take and submit my written digital notes. Can't complain.HEATINGSomething I noticed immediately upon setting up and using the laptop is the fact that it heats up very fast. It gets hot quickly but it also cools itself down quickly. But again, it gets hot quickly so the fan is on and off and on and off. House temp is 73 degrees.Overall, its not a bad laptop. The fact that the information in the listing is incorrect is very disappointing and is why I deducted 1 star from an otherwise, in my opinion, 5-star laptop. I think the battery life could be better and the overheating isn't great but they are both very manageable. I am very satisfied with the laptop. Just be aware of what you're buying!

Has lasted me almost three years now!!!
I got this laptop back in September of '21 and it has been my all time favorite little laptop ever. I got one that had a black keyboard and no fingerprint reader, however I didn't even know it was supposed to have one at the time, haha! Either way, my screen finally cracked after two years, but everything else still functions perfectly. I stream to twitch on it, do any kind of work I need, draw, and more, but the fan can get dangerously hot, please take caution with that, I have got minor burns from it that have blistered, but all in all, it functions well. The battery life is not the best, however when I first got it the battery life was better than it is now, but still only lasted me about two hours, three at the max. Hope this help! I do reccomend <3

Perfect upgrade...super quick too.
Purchased this at a Prime Day price as an upgrade from my HP Envy circa 2014. I am a student, Mom, and use my laptop for homework as well as placing grocery orders etc. What I love: my old laptop had a serious issue with the track pad. Touching any part of the lower edge of the keyboard triggered it. This track pad/keyboard does not have this issue. It does have a "cheaper feel", (not as bad as a Chromebook but somewhere in the middle) to the track pad but this does not bother me. My old one was all metal and cold to the touch. The keyboard on this is smaller but I love the size and weight of the entire laptop. My old one was 17" and super heavy. This is light and easy to carry around, does not make my legs tired when I'm typing 5 page papers. Note: this one does not have 10 key because it is smaller, which threw me off. Probably my only complaint...yet I wouldn't get that in this size of laptop anyway, so I let it go. Transition from laptop to tablet is as simple as flipping the screen backward. It creates an interface with "apps" immediately instead of point and double click applications. Overall using it is very easy, it's really really fast, and perfect for simple computer use for a student/parent that wants both tablet and computer options in one.**Any wireless mouse will work with this computer.**Any stylus will work with the tablet mode. I bought my three pack at Target for $13.
