Being a chemist by trade, I decided to do side-side comparison with lab results (that I have access to) and Exact Tester. BIG difference. Examples: Lab Calcium 540 ppm. Exact Calcium 235 ppm. Lab pH 8.4 - basic. Exact ph Lo (this means pH is below readable level - or very acidic). Bromine was comparable. Lab Total alkalinity 180. Exact 110.Biggest differences were in the Calcium and pH. These are important to maintaining good pool water conditions. Next step is to buy some lab standards and create a plot of Exact values to actual standard value.
