When I was looking to buy one of these covers, I hated the fact that most of them that I had come across online had ‘pockets’ inside. I knew it could be a problem as it would bulge as you put your cards and whatnot into them, in particular, when I write on the left pages when the notebook is open. I just wanted a simple cover. No extras. And this is it! I really like the fact that 1. it has no inside pockets, 2. my pen perfectly fits in the holder, 3. my notebook was slightly thinner than the one that originally came with the cover, but the notebook itself sort of swallows as I write on the pages and yet it still fits perfectly in the cover. As a reference, I have already used ¾ of my own notebook and the cover doesn’t bulge. Oh, and the leather texture feels really good in my hands.

It is a beautiful fake leather cover for a refillable journal. I would give it five stars if the front material, which really looks and feels like leather, extended to the back. Breaking the cover into two types of covering just about ruins it for me.It had all been that fake leather cover I would have definitely given it five stars. Even if the whole cover was made out of the cloth that extends to the rear cover, I would have given it 4 stars. But this cover, ruined, although the clasp and the inside are very nice.

I love the texture of the cover, the style of the paper, and how long the journal lasts you, but one thing I must point out that after a few uses the inner cardboard soft cover starts misaligning with the hard cover slip, and will not close all the way. Other than that this journal has served me well!
