Is this the drain hose for the inside unit?

Yes It connects on the inside unit to the outside to drain condensation

where can i buy adapter to connect this to the drain hose from the mini split indoor unit? Its 5/8 inch

We bought a different hose online and adapters - male and female and siliconed the joint . The hose was my only complaint with the unit.

Will this drain hose connect to other companies drain hose such as diversitech's?

Mine connected to another companies drain hose as long as the other companies line is a 5/8ths width hose. If not you will need connector that will offset for size.
