Great little pulse ox. It was a little big for my 2 year old but it worked great on her big toe! I was a little concerned about her breathing because it was so heavy. I was not sure if it was because she was struggling or just congested. This helped me let the doctor know that she was getting enough oxygen and get some good recommendations from her pediatrician on how to help her without dropping everything and running to the doctor. I DO NOT suggest skipping a doctor's appointment but I was not 100% sure she actually needed one.

Our trach- vent baby is transitioning from full-time ventilator to an HME and only requires spot checks of his O2 levels during the day as opposed to wearing a pulse ox constantly. I looked for a product that would be more than as the medical company has no such thing available, and spot checking him during the day with his standard pulse-ox is very inconvenient, especially on the go. This particular device is recommended for ages 2 and up. Our son is 18 months, but I was unable to find any other portable device like this that was recommended for an age under 2. So I decided to give this one a try in the hopes that it would work anyway. It does take on average two to three minutes to register a reading. It shows the wavelength almost immediately but does not return a reading for quite a while. Obviously it can be very difficult to get an 18 month old to sit still long enough to get a good reading. I will say, however, that when I do get a reading it is accurate. I cannot say that this is necessarily a flaw in the design as it states specifically that the device is intended for ages 2 and up, but I do wish that this company, or another, but develop a portable pulse-ox like this one that could accommodate infants. Our son was a micro preemie so even at 18 months he is much smaller then most babies. So I doubt at 2 years of age device will be able to as it should anyway because of his smaller size. Overall, however, I think it is a very good product, I just wish it could accommodate smaller fingers.

Works well for my 2 year old! Hard to keep him still and get his finger in just right at times but overall very happy with this product and would definitely recommend.

I bought this after my 9 mo old baby was diagnosed with RSV and her oxygen levels were dipping below 90 in her checkups. She's a little baby (below 10% in length, and weight) so I was afraid her fingers would be too small to detect and yes, when she's awake it's impossible to get a reading but when she's asleep I can slip the reader on her thumb easily and I get an accurate reading. It's very fast to get a reading and seems to be consistent.The first time I tried turning it on it wasn't turning on, took a few tries to get it working but after it started working it's been turning on every time I hit the power button so who knows if it needed the jolt of good batteries instead of the offbrands included.It's kind of flimsy looking and looks like it'll fall apart every time you open it to put a finger in but the screen is very clear and informative. Cheap and effective, definitely recommend.

My son wouldn’t use the adult one so we had to buy one for his small fingers. This one works great and they like the way the numbers look on the screen. Very happy with this purchase. Gave me a lot of peace of mind when my daughter had RSV/bronchiolitis

I work in pediatrics and this is great for little fingers. I keep the batteries out of it when not in use as the power button would get pushed accidentally while in its case.
