Great cots if used with the cot pads!
I rate this three stars without the cot pads but five with.My husband and I have been tent camping for a little over 20 years. We use to sleep on a thick blanket but as age increased and back issues developed, the ground wasn't an option. We stared to use an air bed but it wasn't firm enough and my back would stiffen up at night to the point that I couln't got off the air bed without help and a lot of pain.We went to an RV show and decided we are not RV people. With an RV, we can't use tent only sites that are generally secluded and away from large areas with RVs relatively close to each other. We like to camp away from people. So I can contine to camp, we decided to try cots. We tried out cots in sporting goods stores and they seemed "ok". most seemed thin and some would wobble, as if the frame wasn't going to hold up. One store had an "oversized" cot that had thick material and a very sturdy frame. Since we camp often, we needed something that will hold up. I found these on Amazon and read alot of good reviews. They were also half the price as some oversized ones in box store. When they arrived we set them up in the house. They are easy to carry and set up. And they have extra stitching in areas that would be handled more or take extra use.The first camping trip was for three nights. The cots were pretty comfortable for the first couple hours. I woke up with pressure point pain in my hip. I moved to my back and woke again with pressure point pain. Next night I put another blanket on the cot and that helped, not perfect but better. I should also say that without anything between you and the cot, your heat will not keep the cot warm. It was 65 at night and we didn't stay warm without a blanket under us. I should also say that my husband doesn't have the back issues that I have. He slept better then I did, seemed more comfortable then I was but still had some (less then I had) pressure point discomfort.Even with all my back issues, I was more comfortable and wasn't stiff like I would have been with an air bed. I was convinced that the cat surface was just to hard to sleep on directly. We decided to get cot pads and couldn't find any that fit these cots in box stores. (I need to look on Amazon first, box stores second)I found the cot pads that go with these cots on Amazon and just bought them without reading reviews. The cot pads got tested on a week long camping trip to West Virginia. We went to bed and I tried to listen to the quiet, crackling fire and soft breeze. I'm not sure how long I was awake but the next thing I heard was the morning birds singing to the sun coming up.The cot pads made the difference!! I slept great, woke up near pain free (I always have some back pain no matter what), not stiff, cot didn't add pain and I can get on and off the cots without a problem. We had one cold, damp night but stayed very warm with the cot pad because it held in out heat. On one of our three day trips it was very warm. I thought that the cot pad would keep to much heat in and we would be to warm. But it didn't seem like it. The weather was such that we didn't need a blanket.

A perfectly reasonable bed for a longer camping trip.
Great width, easy setup although a little cranky until it's on its feet, hard for short legged people to get out of. Very comfortable, durable, excellent carry bag too. Heavy and solid, no bar across the middle of your back. Almost perfect.

An oversized sturdy cot good for a big person
This is a great deal. An oversized cot for oversized people at a low price. It is sturdy and roomy for my 6'1" 290 pound body. It sets up and takes down in less than a minute. Folds up tightly and has a velcro strap to keep it all folded up nicely. Comes with a storage bag. Has pockets hanging from the side for things like a phone, and TV remote control.Update: I bought a second one and had it shipped to my mother's place before going to visit her for 2 weeks. It cost about the same price as a one night hotel room. I would set it up to sleep on in the front room and fold it up during the day. It is very sturdy, and fast to set up and break down.It is very comfortable and heavy duty. Now I have a place to sleep whenever I fly out to visit her.

Easy to setup and put away and very comfortable
I used this for a week at my son's Boy Scout camp. I also put my Nemo Cosmo Insulated Sleeping Pad on top of it and it was like sleeping on a mattress. The cot was wide enough and long enough to allow me to turn over on my side, my back and my stomach without any issues and the pad barely moved. What I loved:1. The length and width of this cot is great. Though it would only fit one way on the canvas tent platform at the Scout camp.2. How easy it was to setup and take down.3. The side pockets to store a few items was a great touch.A few critisisms but not enough of an issue to mark down a star, but will update in future if anything breaks abnormally.1. The height of the frame would be better for me if it was 2 inches lower. It's a bit too high to sit comfortably on the cot and trying to put shoes on as my feet wouldn't quite reach the floor (I'm 5' 11" tall with a 32-33" inseam). However, if I sat on the frame edge itself, I could put my feet flat on the floor (since you don't sink when you sit on the cot material itself), but sitting on the frame isn't comfortable.2. The straps that help keep the cot closed seem a bit thin and look like they could rip after just a little bit of use. I'll keep an eye on this and handle those straps gently.3. The zipper on the carrying bag feels very cheap (not heavy duty at all) and feels like it could bust easily as well. So I'll need to handle that zipper with gentle care as well.I would definitely buy this cot again and recommend it to other adults that are having a hard time sleeping on hard surfaces or thin pads as they get older.

Awesome!!!
AWESOME!!!! Super Comfortable with an extra camping mat on it, easy to set up & super stable when sitting on the edge of it!!!!! It's heavy but worth the extra weight knowing that it's super stable & won't collapse

Good buy....Works as advertised.
Nice Cot.....very comfortable, very stable. It does sag a little, but that is a good thing. If it were stiff as a board it wouldn't be as comfortable. It opens and folds up easily. One caveat, make sure to pull back to Velcro hinge covers before folding it up. You wont be able to fold the cot up with them velcroed down and could end up tearing the covers if too much force is applied. Overall a good buy. It is a little on the expensive side but well worth it as a sleeping platform for large adults or kids and adults who want the extra room. I will likely buy another since the wife and kids are calling dibs on the one I bought for me. Oh yeah....the legs don't snap into place on set up which seems like a no brainer from a design perspective. Not a big deal, but a little annoying.
