Does the female portion of this item have FINE treads and the male portion to hook the hose to should be normal hose threads ?

Both are standard garden hose threads. (MHT Male hose thread)(FHT Female hose thread)

Can I use this for laundry tubs?

When the water pressure is shut off the excess water in the hose which would normally flow back into the hose instead comes out the small holes around the edge so I would not recommend using this anywhere you would want to stay dry.

I am looking for fine threads on the house side of the vacuum breaker and the course threads on the hose side. Does this one have that configuration?
