Subbuteo Official England Lionesses Main Game for Age 6 Years and Over

I was never into Subbuteo in my youth (many years ago!) but decided to get this set on a whim to play with my daughter - a quick check of reviews of modern Subbuteo sets said this had a decent starter pitch. After a gentle iron to get the creases out it has performed admirably, and my lass loves playing as the England Ladies. The only downside to the set are the goals - the plastic netting doesn’t stay fitted very well and the goals tend not to lie flat.

My football mad girl loves this, so it was always going to be well received. I was a bit disappointed that the choice for girls is so limited. It would also be great if the figures had some resemblance to actual players. So maybe that will happen one day because I think that would be just fab and make it feel worth the cost. It is not a cheap toy and any extras are expensive.
