ok this works great for mending the parts together it can take off the imperfections of a print but smoothing it is very tricky but its still worth the money just for mending the prints together I love the flat edge but if your using it on anything but a black print (and even then) clean it often I usually have a wet sponge to wipe it on it ill pick up plastic and cook on the blade and when you go to the next spot it will mix the burnt plastic with your print leaving a brown spot but if you wipe it every so often that fixes that problem

Garbage. Not only did it NOT heat up. I could not get the tip that came on there to come off. It seems as thought it was permanently attached to the unit that I got.A few notes. The light did come on. It did go off after 25 seconds as thought it were going to heat up.I tried multiple USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports from 2 different computers.The tip would not come off even with trying to use pliers.

Unfortunately the pointed attachment bends too easily and it finally broke off

The tool itself isn't perfect by far but the idea and technology behind it has been a game changer for finishing 3d prints. There are a couple products out there like this and this product leaves a lot to desire but for the price you can't beat it.It doesn't come with a power brick, you'll need to find your own.The tubes used to connect the heads are a little flimsy and can be pulled out just removing them but you can just push them back in and there doesn't seem to be any heat loss. Overall a great value but if you can afford the wireless competitor then I'd try that first.

After using it for about 20 minutes I've found it isn't very useful. The hot knife is probably the best of the tips, but having two pointed tips is repetitive and overkill. The scoop tends to sink and cause divots. I would have preferred a good wide disc flat tip that you can even and smooth out the surface with by heat. At the end of the day, It's just an expensive rebranded USB soldering knife. I wouldn't buy another one.

Works great! This is exactly what I needed to clean up some of my 3d prints! Love that the plug is USB so I can use my portable charger and do this anywhere.

Will not heat at all, tried six different ports, both USB 2.0 and 3.0 on three different computers, in addition to 3 different wall power supplies (NONE OF THEM FOR PHONE CHARGING) and all I got was a red light that went out in several seconds. Do not waste you time or money. It's too late for me.
