Manduka Recycled Foam Yoga Block, Alameda

I learnt the hard way you can't scrimp and save with yoga blocks. I had a cheap pair from a well known discount sports shop and they were appalling. I do a lot of yin & hatha yoga and rely on blocks for support and assisting with certain poses. My cheap ones were squashy and wobbly and caused me to put so much unnecessary strain through my joints, so after much research I splashed out on a pair of mandukas. They're AMAZING. Completely solid, keep me safe, I trust them completely. And they're gorgeous, mine are in thunder and they're a little bit glittery. Perfect size and perfect for my yoga practice.

Exactly what I wanted. The Yoga Studio that I attended in Oakland, California used these and what I like about them is that they have different dimensions (fatter) to my cork blocks, which I also still use. It is great to have variety.I have already used my Manduka block with several Yoga Students. The blocks are light but strong and I am happy with them.

Thicker than the average yoga block, the Manduka brick is made of dense cork and has a satisfying weight to it. Unlike many yoga blocks, a pair of these cork brick allows for relatively stable balance work while on their ends.Due to its stability, it's very useful for practising more advanced poses such as front splits (hanumanasana) or L-sit (Utpluti Dandasana) and other hand balancing work. I'm going to use mine as substitutes for parallettes.

Bought for my daughter and she loves it. It's really good quality. Heavier than some for carrying to her yoga classes however it works really well at home. She is going to buy some light weight ones for class. Would recommend this product.

I'm not a yogi, I'm martial artist, so of course I stretch a lot. I've never used Yoga blocks before, but I find myself using books and such to stretch, so I decided to buy a yoga block. I train every single day at home, and all my equipment is commercial quality, as it has to last everyday use. At first I thought £18 was a lot of money for a block of cork, but I'm so glad I spent the money. This block is very much heavier than I thought, and it really grips very well. I'm looking forward to wearing it out, and I'm sure it will take a long time. I totally recommend and I will buy another one.

My first set of yoga blocks so not much experience but, I like that they are cork, environmentally friendly and soft to the touch while still sturdy enough to do the job. No complaints here, so far :)

This brick oozes high quality; the cork is very dense and it is perfect for my needs. I definitely feel that I chose a good product.
