For years I have taught people how to use these and kept them in my kits. This one is an improvement on years past. For being about 36 inches long and being able to be 1/2 of a full leg splint for a 6 foot tall adult, it only weighs about 1 or 2 ounces (dollar bill is 1 oz). Plus it is radio translucent so it can be kept in place during X-Rays of the broken bones. It can also be formed to arms, neck or other areas so it is highly versatile. My last SAM splint lasted about 5 years before the edges started to degrade. When it was not in my kit or in use, it was in use for a training class. A lot of students preferred it to other splints and bought their own. Keep these wrapped up with a heavy duty rubber band in a temperature controlled kit/ area. So, this is great for an LE/ Military or more subdued outdoor medical kit!

These are small enough for my IFAK. I carry several in my primary First Aid Kit, you can use trama shears to cut to fit an array of body parts and personal sizes. Looking at their illustrations they omitted fingers and 90 degree splints. I don't agree with their suggested use as a makeshift Cervical immobilization device. If you are into off road vehicles, hunting, or hiking in remote areas these belong in your kit. To take up less room cut pieces and fold flat.

Good splint. Portable and functional.

I pray I don’t need to use them but for such a reasonable asking price and size I could t pass these up, it’s just a foam and aluminum plate that you use medical tape or an ace bandage to keep secure, great addition to my AFAK

Would consider a smaller splint or if need be cut down to fit kit. All being, said it is a great medical tool to have if camping or weekend excursions.

If you are outdoors having a splint is a must have.

Es una buena férula, sus materiales se sienten de buena calidad y trae varios marcajes e ilustrativos, así que una persona sin mucha experiencia podría utilizarla en caso de emergencia. El color es muy discreto e igual al de la imagen. Sólo tomen en consideración su tamaño, es algo grande y no cabrá con facilidad en un pouch Ifak pequeño, sino en uno más grande. La recomiendo.

No he tenido la oportunidad de utilizarla, pero su apariencia es tal cual se muestra en la publicación y su descripción muy puntual, se ve y se siente de una buena calidad. Es un excelente complemento para tu botiquín de primeros auxilios.
