It is a rigid clock base with a printed clock face. The quartz clock movement is high quality.it mounted on the back. There is a built-in hanger on the back of the clock movement. Just beautiful in its simplicity. It is handcrafted and all parts. No ticking noise! PLEASE NOTE. This is not a solid wood clock. The masonite base is laser cut and then laminated with the high resolution image. The image is printed using a large format professional laser jet printer producing sharp pictures with vivid colors. The clock face is then finished with a protective clear gloss varnish.
