Does exactly what is is designed for
I have not had a situation yet to fully assess this UPS although it does seem well constructed and easy to install and use. Whether it works with a power failure only time will tell and I will update this review when I have the information.

Works well
I needed this to my through an overnight planned power-cut which would have affected my CPAP machine. Despite having a very brief, almost useless and impenetrable user instructions, it worked really well. It continued to power the CPAP machine when the power went off whilst I was asleep. It doesn't have a standard UK socket so I had to buy an IEC to 13A 3-pin adaptor. It does come with an IEC to kettle plug lead. I'm not sure why as unless you're planning to power a device with a kettle plug it is completely useless. It has three LEDs on the front. The green one is on all the time the thing is connected to the mains and getting power. The orange one illuminates when it's on battery power and, I think, the red ones comes on when there is a fault. I'm guessing here because the one page instructions are of no help at all. A label on the front suggests it has some kind of "Eco" mode but what it is, how you access it and what benefit it offers is shrouded in mystery. There are various USB and network connectors on the box but what there are for is also a closely kept secret by the manufacturers. There is also a hint some software is available but you have to go to a website which is if the same impenetrability as the paper that comes in the box. What this software does I don't know and can't seem to find out. It seems to work well without it anyway. So, if just need something to get you through a short power-cut this works well.

Works ok apart from the Bucking!
I've got a couple of these and, in general, they appear to work, and have operated through some power cuts we've had. However they seem to to into "voltage buck" mode quite a lot, possibly as they weren't designed for the UK market. This means you get an annoying click sound when they enter-->exit buck mode and also I found that if one of them is quite heavily loaded, when it goes into buck mode there's a high-pitched whine, which isn't ok in a quiet room/near where people are working.

Good design, easy to use
Neat and compact, easy to use. UK mains power lead is permanently attached. Output sockets are IEC C13 type, so a short adaptor lead with UK mains socket will be required. Power on/off switch is on front panel, with a cut-out/overload red button on rear. A male-female IEC C13 type extension lead is provided.A Quick Start Guide (CyberPower_DS_UT1050E(I)G_en_v1) is included, but isn't very helpful. Found a Users Manual (CyberPower_K01-C000483-01_UM_UT650-1050EG_en) which was more informative, on an independent battery provider's website. Recommends that you don't connect laser printers to this UPS because of their high start-up current.CyberPower official specification states that batteries are not user-replaceable, but it appears this can be done if you're aware of potential hazards. There hasn't been a power cut yet, so I am unable to comment on performance.
