I have tried a few other Bolts for my Excalibur Vortex Crossbow...Firebolts are a little pricey but worth every penny ! I get the best groups with the Firebolt...The vanes are allone color and the ends are flat...but they hit right on !!! love the tapped hole in the end , makes pulling out the bolt allot easier with the T handle tool from Excalibur...The groups are so tight you can't grab the bolt without ruining the vanes ! Firebolts are the only bolt I will ever buy ! Amazon has the best deal no doubt !Hope this helps someone...If I can shoot Turkeys at 40 yds...I think we should have these for The Apocalypse...just in case !The Zombiemuckeller.

I like the durability

First of all the bolts are designed to be used with 150 grain broadheads. I ordered 150 grain field tips to shoot with my crossbow.I have wicked ridge warrior hl.I shot these bolts and wicked ridge bolts which had 100 grain field tips.Results are pretty impressive.These bolts performed a lot better plus penetration was much deeper.They fly straight and I had tight groups all the way to 50 yards. I am impressed. When you follow manufacture suggestions about using 150 grain tips it all works like a clock.

I have purchased these arrows several times over the years. I have found them to be very accurate. I did have one batch that was accurate enough but clearly not up to the usual standard.This last batch had Black Eagle on them and a slightly different notch and the fletching is slightly different, too. They are very accurate so I am not complaining. Just noticing some differences from the regular description.On the whole these are my go to arrows and would recommend. The only reason I took off a star is the one time I got arrows on a previous order which weren’t quite up to the usual standard.

Very displeased with Excalibur's customer service on replacement of a defective Illuminated Firebolt they sent me. This was 3 bolts package in a plastic pack that had crimped the plastic fletching of one bolt. Contacted Excalibur and they suggested I "steam" the affected fletching, which did get rid of most of the crimp but not all. After several steamings, one of the fletching was still crimped a little bit. The other 2 bolts shoot center bullseye but this one consistantly shoot 5" to right of bullseye.Excalibur requires I send the bolt back for replacement but after packing and postage I would be spending almost the cost of a single bolt to return their defective product. All I need is the bolt with no nock, which I could buy for around $10.It is now approximately 2 hours after this initial review and I'm upgrading Excalibur Customer service to 5 star. I was contacted by CS and we've agreed upon a compromise on the replacement Bolt.

First time crossbow guy here. The bolts are great, but one thing to keep in mind is that they are VERY difficult to find. I'm hunting in some pasture areas and unlike a normal bow where you kind of have your eye focused more on reality where you see the arrows fly, a user only gets to look through the scope of the crossbow and has absolutely no ability to readjust to the rest of the landscape before the shaft is long gone. Don't miss! Buy a metal detector :)Also, I'm having trouble identifying lighted nocks for this brand and no response from Lumenok or Excalibur as to where I might get them.

Got these for my dad. He hates archery but really liked them. That, or he's just a really good dad. Approved!
