Perfect!
This thumb split was a lifesaver for me! I’ve been having pain on my thumb joint for months. (Self diagnosed as arthritis, not bad enough to see a dr.). Made it difficult to do planks, yoga, and lift weights in my exercise classes, plus just a pain in everyday life. The RUIFA thumb stabilizer came a few days after I ordered it. It’s easy to figure out. I put it on my hand and felt immediate relief. It’s flexible, too. I didn’t want a totally stiff splint. I took two of my exercise classes wearing it and felt no pain. It really gave my poor, very important thumb a break. I can say that right now as I’m typing this my thumb doesn’t hurt even a little bit, and I’m not wearing the brace. This product really was just what I needed! Thank you- thank you!

Perfect thumb brace
This stabilizer was the 4th wrist/thumb brace I bought. The others all had issues but this stabilizer is perfect for my needs. It is very comfortable to wear and super simple to put on. I had no issues whatsoever and my thumb and wrist are much better. I would say this is mostly for the thumb but it also supported my wrist and I had great mobility. No problems at all with Velcro. I had an old thumb injury years ago and getting older with arthritis it creates problems with weak thumbs. I would definitely buy again.

Greatly reduces pain for De Quervain’s tenosynovitis
It’s very comfortable, which means I’m willing to wear it more often. Do look for and use the very small elastic loop to hold the thumb whilst wrapping the Velcro tab. I like the fact that it’s adjustable. For some reason using the exact same wrap distance hurts sometimes and feels too loose sometimes. I would prefer if the thumb cylinder were taller/longer. Wrapping it tighter cuts off the blood, but does not restrain it better. Allowing such a wide range of movement of the joint allows me to unconsciously continue to gestures that caused this in the first place. You should consider buying two, as wearing just one 100% of the time will make it stinky & gross.

Works relatively well...had hoped for more support
I like this item, but after just a week the hard plastic insert started popping out and I keep having to push it back in. That gets irritating. Doesn’t really keep my trigger thumb as secure as I thought. I believed this CMC wrap, as suggested by my doctor, would keep my thumb from bending and getting stuck. It doesn’t quite do that. I’d I tighten the bands, my thumb starts tingling abs going numb.

Good brace
I think I bought the wrong size, but it still works. I wear it at night because it is smaller than the one I wear during the day. Makes it better for sleeping--more comfortable. I think it is a little too big because I can still move my thumb but like I said it works for sleeping. After trying this for several nights I had to stop using it. It did not keep my thumb or wrist stable enough. I believe a smaller size might have worked. I was still able in my sleep to move my hand and cause pain. It is very comfortable but not snug enough to do what I wanted it to do.

Great comfort and sturdy
Stayed in place and fit great. Adjustable wrist size and thumb grip. Helped great in healing my thumb which is all better now and product is still sturdy and usable after months of daily wear.

I like it!
I bought this brace because I have 'skier's thumb' injuries from the past. I recently restarted playing saxophone, and the pressure on my right thumb from holding the instrument was making the condition flare up again. I was looking for a brace to support my thumb while leaving the rest of my hand and fingers unimpeded to play the keys as required. This style of brace doesn't cover up too much of my wrist or hand, and also doesn't extend too far up my thumb itself (I didn't want buckles or complete coverage on the thumb which would interfere with how I hold my instrument). The removable brace insert is heavy plastic and provides good stiffness without being totally inflexible. I bought this brace and a cheaper but similar design from another store (about $8 vs $20). The cheaper one used much flimsier material, not quite enough material to reach around my wrist, and brace insert was so flexible is provided very little support. Although I thought this IRUFA model a bit expensive for what you get, the material is rugged, there is plenty to wrap around your wrist, and the brace insert provides good support. My one observation is that I found the thumb-opening a bit large, and I usually wear X-Large gloves although my fingers aren't that meaty. However, the Velcro strap can be adjusted at different angles to wrap around my thumb sufficiently well.
