Absolute fun for all ages
I have already recommended this game to two families with children, and have played it successfully with my friends (high-school/early college). Pros: Stunning artwork (the best in the series, imo) Engaging Tailored to each group you play it with, the players make it unique each time Creative/critical thinking Intuitive rules Cons: The number of cards means that in a larger group (six players) you shuffle the deck and see the same cards twice. This is alright in other games, but its hard once you've seen a card with the clue, say, "unexpected" to think of any other words but synonyms (which would be more obvious). Cards easily bend Figures and tokens seem cheap Overall, I would purchase this again in a heartbeat! I'm looking into the other games, and while I am not a fan of the artwork, we may just have to get those as well.

Fun game great expansion
Dixit is one of those games that can be played with just about everyone. I’ve even played with my 7 year old nephew and he did great. It’s great for big groups too. We play this game so much that I though it might be time for an expansion to my deck and this deck does not disappoint. Beautiful artwork and such a playful style. It compliments my base game very well and everyone was excited to see the new cards.

Excellent!!!
I love this game. It's so much fun and so unusual. This is a very social game. You make up stories that go with the cards. Your goal is to trick people- but get at least one person to guess correctly. So for example, if you have a card with a bottle of wine on it- you want to make up a story that won't let EVERYONE guess that card is yours, but you want at least one person to guess it is, or you won't get any points (and everyone else will get points). So you might say- remember what we did in Berkeley last August? And if one person was with you- they'd "get" it, and you'd get points. You also get points for putting down cards that match the "story" of the person whose turn it is, and thus trick people in to choosing the wrong card. I hope I made this understandable- because it's a blast. We had so much fun playing this with friends I went right out and ordered 3 editions from Amazon so I could play with my family. We love it!!!

Awesome game for a game night!
This is the BEST game for teenagers to adults! I can not tell you how much fun we have playing this game with family and friends. This game has an apples to apples feel, but is way better. The pictures on the cards are very fun and interesting and this gives the game the unique game play and ability to have one card have multiple meanings. I am trying to be honest with my review without giving the game away. But here's the deal if you are a creative person and can come up with "good" phrases and words, you and you friends will have a very fun time, but if you are very this is what it is type person, you may be bored by the game and not have as much fun. I also encourage you to buy the expansion pack (or packs as there are more than one). The included cards are good but the greater the selection of cards the more fun and the less likely you are to feel that you play the same cards all the time. Lastly, the scoring seems tricky, but all you have to do is read the game board and it spells it out, don't think too much about what you think it says, just follow what the board says and you will be right. Enjoy.

Well-designed game play, lovely art; great addition to standard Dixit or stand-alone game.
I'm a bit of a board game nerd, and Dixit is my absolute favorite of the games I own. It's very accessible to all ages; I frequently play it with the rest of my family, ranging in age from 6 to 40's, and everyone enjoys it. The gameplay is easy and quick to pick up (similar to Apples to Apples, if you're familiar with that, though I feel Dixit is superior) and the adults appreciate the art even more than the kids. The gameplay is very well balanced; there's no easy exploits or trick strategies. The scoring is designed to encourage exactly the sort of gameplay that the rules and descriptions suggest, which is a major point in its favor (I hate it when games advertise themselves as one thing, but the actual best strategy is completely different). The game length also feels just right; it doesn't feel like it ends just when you're getting momentum up, or like it stretches on forever. Now, I will say, I don't find the art in this game to be quite as high-quality as that in the original Dixit. So if you're choosing between them, I would buy the original, and then if you find you like it, buy this later as an expansion pack. The original pictures are more complex and bizarre, which makes telling stories about them more interesting; some of these are a bit too obvious and simple. But the art is still charming and quite attractive, so don't let that turn you off. It's a subtle enough difference to be a matter of taste. Physically, this is one of the best-quality games I own. The box is sturdy enough to stand up to quite a bit of abuse, and the pieces are wood tokens, not plastic. The board hasn't sustained any damage (by contrast, our Monopoly board broke years ago) and even the cards have a very pleasant matte feel. (They're quite a bit larger than standard playing cards, which accommodates the impressive detail on the pictures.) The good quality of the materials is nice for adults, and stands up to the battering of children. A problem with a lot of similar games is that they get "played out;" for instance, in "Would You Rather," once you've played it a certain number of times, you know what everyone in your group "would rather." The complexity of the art here prevents that; I've never had any trouble coming up with a new and different story for the same card. Apples to Apples has similar gameplay, but I like that this is less subjective. Balderdash is even more similar, but without the gorgeous art and creative element of telling stories about the cards. I would without hesitation recommend this over either of those games, although I like both. In sum, I would strongly recommend this game, whether to adults, children, or a mixed group. I think it's also worth picking up the different versions eventually for the extra cards, though certainly not necessary.

Good game, but...
Dixit is an awesome game, love the art work on the cards and it's super easy to set up and get playing. Only problem is when the box arrived the outside of it on the edges was coming undone and looked unprofessional. Like it was thrown around and looked aged. If I knew this was going to happen I would have cared less about saving $15 and got it from my local gaming store so it wouldn't have gotten beat up.

Unfortunately when I received this product the box was squashed and not in good condition.
