Great for LED Strips
I needed these to connect LED strips to a box that allows me to control the LEDs from my Hue system and they worked great. Very reliable.

Easy to use
I took off one star cause the connections are not tight. Make sure you heat shrink every connection.

Much easier install than doing it all yourself
I got tired of soldering the wires to pins. Soldering to wires or just using shrink wrap works and is much easier to install and extend the wiring. I have found that cutting the light strips soldering is really the only way they stay connected so this is what I use for that if you have to cut the strip because all the fancy easy connectors seem to not work after a few months even when used on stationary items like cabinets and ceilings.

As described
For extending ribbon led strings in spaces you don't need leds.

MFG inconsistencies leads to poor connection durability
If it wasn't for the price, I'd give it 2 stars. These connect to the LED headers on new motherboards. My plan was to use them and make my own LED strips to connect together. The issue is that the included 4 pin jumper that's male/male isn't sized large enough. Because of the small size, when you connect 2 of the cables together, the slightest movement will cause them to come apart. This requires one to use electrical tape or similar to ensure the connections hold if there's even the slightest of movements. Some of the leads themselves are tighter fits than others. Don't go blindly using these assuming they'll fit snugly as that's not the case. You may be able to super glue the male connector into the looser ones while leaving as much of center piece out as possible for the connecting unit. Even then it's still a loose fit, but it might stay for a static environment that doesn't get moved. This also presents a danger to your device as the connections can come apart and then you've got a 12v hot lead that can ground out in a system for instance. If it were to burn out something on a motherboard if it occurs, that will be a bad day!

Good for DIY LED project.
This connector cable is good for RGB LED light strips. Good for DIY projects. For example, you can solder the 4-wire cable to the 4 copper contacts on your RGB LED strips, to get them connected, then you can use this connector cable as a birdge to connect your RGB LED light strip to your RGB LED Controller; you can also connect the cable to the RGB LED controller that already has a female interface for connecting the 4-wire cable, etc.
