BUY THESE!!!!!!!
I never leave reviews. On top of that, this is my fourth attempt at writing a review because my app keeps refreshing. So that tells you how much I love these nail clippers, that I’m willing to redo it four times!I have three small dogs and three cats and for the first time EVER, nail trims were a breeze! I am shocked at how much I love these. I have already sent this link to multiple friends to purchase.I have gone through so many different pairs in the past and could never find anything this perfect. They were either too flimsy, too bulky, too dull. You name it. And I even have three different sizes of the other version they have. Don’t even bother with those. Get these! These are lightweight, sturdy, and SHARP. They feel solid. There is no kick when I’m cutting the nails either, which I think my animals appreciated. And they are adjustable!Just do it. I promise it will be worth it.

**Update**
These are great clippers so far but some of my dogs nails are very thick and is a tight fit at largest opening setting. Wish it opened just a little wider and they would be perfect. So far we've used them twice and they haven't broken like our previous clippers. My dog has thick tough nails and so far these clippers are holding up well and working pretty good. **Update: blades got dull after 4th cutting session, started to become difficult to cut and started to crack and break nails.** not sure how to sharpen this shape blades so I can continue to use them. I really liked them while they were sharp.

Works great.
I brought this to trim my iguana nails. I’ve used other electric nail trimmers that heated as I was trimming my iguana nails as well as making her skiddish because of the noise. I also feared of cutting them too low. These are the best. I can cut my iguana nails while she is lounging around without needing anyone to her hold her. It’s quite and I can also adjust it to the smallest setting without cutting too much and risk of bleeding or hurting my iguana. She just looks at me while I cut them. It also cuts clean without splitting the nails. So if you have a skiddish animal when it’s time to cut their nails, this is definitely a life changer and very easy to use. Highly recommend especially for small animals like mine

Too lightweight for a 16 lb. dog
This is the third Zen Clipper I've purchased. I started with a "fixed size" model; it worked on some of my 16 lb. dog's toes, but 'one size doesn't fit all' my dog's nails.I did like the concept and the quality construction, so I ordered the standard size adjustable model Zen clipper. It changed my dog's life. He's always been terrified and nearly unmanageable for his nail-clipping; now he's becoming almost docile because there is NEVER an accidental overcut. But it's a bit too beefy for a small animal like mine. While that wouldn't be an issue for a dog 25 lbs or more, its wide jaws are difficult to work with on such a small paw. I thought the "Junior" model might be my dream clipper, and it arrived just when I need to trim my dog's nails. What a disappointment!First, I set the Junior to match the opening on my standard Zen clipper (4.4 mm on my calipers). The problem showed up on the first toenail. When I got the nail in position and squeezed the handle, it met the opposite handle before the nail snipped, and I couldn't apply further pressure. On the second try the nail did cut, but not cleanly. The second toenail snipped on the first try--but only just as the handles met! Unfortunately, the pivot joint flexed slightly in the process, which left another imperfect cut. It caused enough discomfort, too, that I checked to make sure I hadn't somehow nicked the quick. I hadn't, but by that point I knew these clippers were of no use to me.The "Junior Zen Clipper" is well made and all, but it's extremely lightweight. It should be called the "Micro Zen Clipper". I wouldn't recommend it for any dog over about 6 or 7 pounds. I guess I expected from this otherwise excellent company.

Wheel adjustment feature is really nice
My cat is a terror when it comes to nail trims. We got her hind feet done but need to get the front now. At least these clippers make the actual snipping step easy, just position the nail into the opening and squeeze. Sharp cutting blade makes a quick clean cut and the open style handles are SO much easier to use than our other scissor handle style clippers. We had zero luck using those on this kitty. She is just so afraid its hard to keep her calm. We also bought a muzzle mask so it’s harder for her to bite. Hoping she gets used to us doing her nails. The veterinarian wants to drug her which is really hard on a 10 year old rescue kitty. Anyway, very pleased with these!
