Everything you need!
I was very interested in starting to learn to crochet and didn't want to splurge too much so I thought this would be a great place to start and it sure was. The hooks and tools fit within the included box which is great and easy to bring with you on a road trip or such. The yarn isn't the best quality but it still works great to see if you want to try more types of yarn. I would say the yarn weight is about 3 or a light 4. In general, this was a great starter to my crochet journey!

Quantity Over Quality, But Decent for the Price
As a beginner crocheter, I wanted some kind of starter kit. This is a pretty affordable one, especially considering how many items come with it. However, the yarn frays very easily & can be quite hard to work with. It's pretty thin & small, & all one size. Very pretty colors though, & it all comes in a convenient travel bag. It's really cheap, yeah, but worth the price & great for anybody that starts & stops projects or hobbies a lot. Definitely a decent choice for somebody just trying it out to see how they like it.

Good variety
I got this for my granddaughter last Christmas. She had just started crocheting. This kit had absolutely everything she needed to get her hobby started. She was really excited to receive it.

Poor yarn
I like the ergonomic crochet hooks. They're easier on my hands. The colors of the yarn are vibrant, but the yarn is not good quality. It splits too easily. A beginner would get frustrated trying to use it. The skeins are also small, but I get six small granny squares out of each. It will make a nice baby blanket when I'm all done. I like the kit of needles, ruler, scissors, etc. that came with the set.
