Great clean boost, good classic American rock crunch
If I'm going for ultra-clean boost, or alternatively a smooth/biting overdrive, I find this is a really good option!I think it works best with lower gain amps (vintage 30s-60s Fenders, Danelectro, Epiphone, etc. and also some newer Fenders and others).Clean boost can slightly enhance sound when I play with the tone knob, but is mostly good at a neutral unaltered volume boost, which is great when some of my smaller vintage amps whose tonal qualities I want to keep just as they are.While I have other overdrive and distortion pedals I prefer for grittier blues or heavier metal (generally with my grittier blues amps and other higher gain amps), the overdrive on this Fulltone Full-Drive is able to push my lower gain amps (especially Fenders) into solid American rock crunch territory - it really has some hard to beat tones for this characteristic style of playing, I think.

It's LOUD!
As far as I know, I got the last one in orange. It rocks on both of my amps and with any of my guitars. Mike Fuller is allowed to brag about this one. Run it at 18volt if you can - It's LOUD!
