I have an 8 year old girl. Is the button easily pushed down?

The umbrella is too heavy for a child. The automatic button allows to close the umbrella but the stalk of the umbrella remaining to pull down(to reduce) requires a lot of strength in arms even for me adult.

So, I recently got my hands on this new umbrella. It's surprisingly sturdy and handled a pretty strong gust of wind without flipping inside out. The size is decent too, covers me well without being too bulky. I really like the color it came in. Overall, pretty happy with this purchase.
