I really needed something to revive my very mistreated (and old) chisels. I did take the time to clean up my newer set and these kit is great with perfect outcome. The stones with the silicone frame sitting inside the wood base holds extra water and helped me perfect my sharpening ability. I also used the Saker blade holder due to my hands and RA. This kit is perfect for many blade sizes and provides added stability and flatness for a perfect finish. Please make sure to soak your stones in water prior for best results. Take your time for an excellent edge.I am totally happy and impressed with my purchase.

Exceptionally complete for manual sharpening. Coarse, medium and fine stones plus stone holder, strop leather. Impressive quality, but be prepared to take time for manual work. It's the best way to work up the edge on a hardened steel knife.

These stones appear to be of good quality and have held together well for about 6 sharpening sessions. The leveling stone is great and works really well to maintain the sharpening stones. The leather strop is probably the least useful item in this purchase, along with the angling piece which is meant to keep your blade at the correct degree. Cheap plastic and unhelpful in my experience. Overall, a good product you can learn to sharpen blades on.

Right out of the box the very simple directions will have you sharpening your knives within minutes. The knife guard/guide works great to help keep your knife at the proper angle for sharpening. In under 40 minutes I had my pocket knife and two kitchen knives sharpened and ready to go. I like my knives sharp so I sit in front of the tv and set up the stones and sharpen my knives on a weekly basis.

It's a good beginners set, if overkill at the higher grit levels.Used it on a cheaper knife and had great results. I don't expect this set to be perfectly straight, but it was level enough where technique was more important to get a consistent result.

Worth the price. Good quality. You’d have to straighten blocks with a provided tool before sharpening your blades.

The best knife sharpener I’ve had a few, but this kit works better than anything else I’ve ever used.

Had to get this replaced the first delivery was missing 3 pieces of the package.The second one I got seems to have fairly decent stones and they fit well in the silicone holders and then in the bamboo base. Holds still enough on a dry surface when sharpening.However they say there is a leather strop included and there is not. What they claim is leather is some fake vinyl piece of junk. That's not a big deal as you don't really need to strop on leather or you can use any belt, its the principle of being honest. They also call the cleaning stone a flattening stone. Your better off watching youtube videos on how to sharpen than to follow their included directions. I don't see this type of clip on angle guide being very accurate or useful due to varying bade sizes changing the angle, so I ordered a different style to try.Overall though, I'll keep it, I think it will be useful and a good beginners set.
