Great little books for later beginning pianists
These books are great for piano students who want to learn to play a song familiar to them at a level they are capable of playing. I’m slowly collecting as many as I can for my students to use in my studio.

Sounds fairly sophisticated!
I've used the Star Wars arrangement in this book with several students, and they LOVE it!I'm not a fan of the Faber method books, but the Chord Time Piano books are great for supplementary solos and recitals/festivals! I love that I can pull out these fun arrangements of familiar songs for my students. Level 2B is simple enough for late beginners-early intermediate students to learn, but the music still sounds impressive and driving. (Not too simplified where the rhythms or accompaniment are boring.)

genius at introducing new chords/keys
I always use this book with my piano students. It has popular songs that everyone knows, so it makes them more excited and motivated to practice. The level of difficulty definitely increased from 2A, but it gradually progresses. There are are charts showing the I, IV, and V chords every time they introduce a new key. It is a great way to begin to ease students into intermediate arrangements

students enjoy it
My students enjoy this book. It has a decent variety of songs but i'm not sure why some of the songs are included in a children's book (She Loves You etc.) It's pretty good quality as far as the arrangements go, but Faber books do tend to over simplify and lose some of the integrity of the songs. I often modify them to better serve my students. But is probably the best currently on the market.

Great book for piano students who want to play something they enjoy!
This book has some wonderful arrangements in it for the intermediate student. My students often get bored with their lesson book songs, but I always stress how valuable they are at teaching the music fundamentals necessary to play songs they like! This book by Faber is a great supplement when my students want to dive into a song they either know or are at least familiar with. I've used several levels of the Popular series of books, including Jazz and Classics. They're all great and help get my students excited in what they're playing! My students range in age from 5 to 17, with a couple of adults, too.

Students feel immediately successful
Students of many levels enjoy this book right away with "Lean On Me," the first song. It is arranged well, so people learn it quickly and it sounds great. Other songs in the book are also good, but require more work from beginners. Most people enjoy at least half the songs in the book and are more motivated to practice these songs than regular lesson book material. Adult beginners also like this book.
