DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY! I owned a b an q own brand drill for over 6 years and it was or has to be one of the best drills I’ve bought, when mine decided to give up the ghost I decided to get another b and q brand drill. However the drill they was selling did not have the same specs as the one I bought previously. After searching online and wicks I came across einhell drills. Reading reviews it sounded good. Clearly fake reviews! After receiving the drill I used it to cut 2 5” holes in a fibre glass porch. The drill needless to say struggled! Half way through the 1st hole the battery overheated and the drill stopped. Used 2nd battery and it finished the 1st hole. I had to wait for the batteries to cool before drilling next hole. I may add that the fibre glass porch roof is 7mm thick. I sent it back and purchased a Ryboi which is better spec and 18v and also £15 cheaper!

I'm not a professional carpenter or builder, just a husband who has lots of things to build & repair under instruction from the Mrs. My latest task was to build a complicated partition wall to create a walk in wardrobe. I obviously needed a drill and chose this one based on others reviews and am so pleased I did. After watching numerous Youtube videos and with the indispensable aid of this drill, the wall is built and the wife is happy! The battery life is fantastic even when worked really hard and the greatly variable torque settings helped no end when switching from 4 inch screws to plasterboard screws. The drill came with 2 fast charging batteries ensuring when one ran low the other was ready to go. Sturdy but not too heavy and comfortable to use. I would recommend this drill for all purposes. A great product at great value!

I had an earlier version of this with a single battery. It lasted and lasted - 10 years I guess. The battery on it finally stopped holding charge. Having had bad experience of aftermarket batteries, and having compared the price of such a battery with a replacement drill (only 2:1 difference), I opted for this. It feels as good, hjas more power - and the extra facility of a decent light shining where you're drilling. Recommended.

This is my 2nd drill and both have become faulty with light DIY use. Both drills was in perfect condition so a build/quality issue is a problem.The first drill just stopped working. It would start and stop like it had faulty trigger or wireing.2nd drill has lost all its torque and is making a awfull noise in 1st gear. 2nd gear has more torque then the 1st so possible not going into gear properly.Drill is once again useless after light use and less then a year old.This drill manufacturer is german and they ignore all emails. It is impossible to claim on any warranty on this drill.

I'll leave 3 stars on this as I've had a replacement which is working fine for now. The first one worked okay for a little while until the higher gear speed stopped working and keep in mind I'm just a DIYer who has only really used this to stick together a few ikea sets and screw some fittings together so it has had very light usage. Having said that, I really liked this until it failed and the price was very reasonable. I'll return with the 5 stars it would have received if the next one functions as it should. I may have just been unlucky with the first defective product.
