Actually, I'm not certain what the seed column is called but this feeder support is easy to use and has room left for perches even when using a large seed column. My birds haven't sampled it yet because their existing feeder still has food. I like this for appearance, function, and ease of use.

Really like this feeder. It’s sturdy and can hold a small cylinder or large cylinder of bird seed. I like that there is an extra hook at the bottom for another feeder or a basket to catch any seeds. I’m hoping the cardinals will like it with a larger outer rail for them to land on.

I make my seed cakes for my wild birds. They go through a bunch of seed cakes so I was looking for a product that would hold my large seed cakes to prevent constant refilling with the smaller square cakes. I have purchased a couple from a local Big Box store, but they did not have the extra hook at the bottom to add whatever you choose to add. In the Michigan winters, we will add another seed cake and in the summers I will hand a hummingbird feeder. The quality/strength of this product outshined the big box product. I plan to buy more of these as gifts with a couple of handmade seed cakes.

Great for birdwatching. Very sturdy and easy to load with birdseed rings. I just wish the squirrels didn't like it so much!

Works for cylinder bird seed

Durable, utilitarian & very well-crafted. Looks like it will last a long time. I use the cylinder-shaped and/or stacked cake-style seed/bug/nut feed options on this device.Birds using it are Finches, Sparrows, Woodpeckers, Nut Hatches, and others in that size range.The circular rungs at bottom for birds to land on are too close to the food for larger birds like Jays, Robins, Grackles, Doves, etc.I used a small “S” shape hook to transition from the hook on my clear plastic dome “de-squirreler” to fit into the small loop at the top of this feeder — but I think it’s designed this way so the top loop will fit thru the holes in the feed cakes without breaking them up.Wish there was another size for larger birds to land and peck. They land nearby and stare at it longingly — or — land on the outer rung but can’t get their beak into the right position to peck at the food.Would be fun to link a few of these together in a vertical tower.A good purchase for the price.

It is easy to see and the birds love eating off it. Has a perch for the birds to eat off of it, too
