After buying a soldering ‘kit’ on Amazon that had a wiring problem, I was searching for a new replacement. I wanted something small enough that didn’t take too much room on my desk since I only work on electronics as a hobby. I found this soldering station for the right price and decided to order it. I’m glad I did! The footprint is small enough, and the spool for the solder is optional, so you don’t have to attach it if you don’t want to. I plan on leaving it off, but took a picture to show that it is only one screw when needed. Temperature control works just fine and comes with extra tips. I wanted something that had more than sponge for cleaning, which this has both. My last iron felt that it would tip out of the holder, this feels solid and no worries. So I got this as a replacement and man am I happy I did.It heats up quick.Has an auto shut off, that can be disengaged by shaking soldering iron.Good quality Materials with a Awesome look.This setup has almost everything: Soldering Base, Soldering Iron, Solder, Spool Base, Tip Cleaner, Tips and Sponge. All you need it soldering wick and flux and you are good to go!I was able to fix my iFlight Protek25 and Protek35 Drones in a little over two hours. This will certainly be my Go-To soldering iron for years to come. Check out my time-lapse to see the repair from start to finish. I had to desolder over 11 joints that were very small for motors and very large for XT30 connections. I used the same tip for all of it as the general tip that comes on it is a great size.Overall I am very happy with my new soldering iron.

Solid soldering station. Heats up super fast. Multiple tips allow for perfect and precise solders on all types of things including circuit boards. This has certainly made soldering small projects (such as Raspberry Pi) much easier. I was never good at soldering, but this has made me feel like a pro (even though I'm not). Great tool and would buy again and recommend to others.

My husband does all sorts of jobs so we have all tools imagionable. I like that it can sits on his table, and there is a place for everything needed. There is a metal section for cleaning it and a place for the metal wiring- everything sits in it perfectly. It is a nice tidy design...It is perfect for fine tuning things, unlike with his welder or using a torch (I was trying to listen to him explain it!) He used it on some pipes and it worked well. Easy to control.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Worked intermittently and only at high temps. Got an 5-3 error and it stopped working. Couldn't even start my first project....7/6/21 Update: they did send a working replacement! 👍

This is a great "workstation-like" set-up which makes it easy to pull off the shelf and get busy working on a project or repair. There is no delay in getting started using it once it is plugged in because it heats up to temperature very quickly. Because it is easy to get busy and forget to unplug or turn off tools in this fast-paced world, I am so glad this has the auto off feature after ten minutes to keep my garage safe when I get distracted. I tested it twice now and it works! Of course I'd like to say it was "on purpose". It's a great value for the money and comes with extra tips.

This kit seemed to have generally good reviews. I have already used it twice and like it a lot!It heats quickly, is easy to use and clean. Looks great on your workbench. There is always room for improvement...in this case, the assembly instructions were somewhat lacking, but there was not a lot to do to get it up and running!

It might be that I've always used poor quality soldering irons, but man does this one heat up fast. I set the temperature to 400°c (which is actually super easy to accurately pick a temperature), and literally 5 seconds later it's already up to heat... Like what??? That's insane!! It's honestly the perfect starter kit, it comes with a nice spool of solder. The solder stand is only held on by one screw though so it will twist if you move it around. Other than that, it's literally perfect!
