No Issues At All
I was about to sell one of my Canon lenses on eBay and realized I could not locate the original lens hood. I wanted to offer the hood as part of the sale, but buying the Canon hood was going to cost $40. It made no sense to spend that much, so I decided to roll the dice and spend just $8.95 on this replacement hood. (And really, it's still probably just a 30 cent piece of plastic) While I was mindful of some of the reviews here complaining about the fit of the aftermarket hood on the Canon lens, I guess I was lucky. The hood arrived in two days, and with Amazon Prime, no shipping costs. It was an absolute perfect fit on my 135 mm f/2 lens, and gave a nice satistfying little snap into place at the end of the twist. So maybe this company has upped its manufacturing standards and all the hoods are like this now, or maybe I just got lucky and got one that fit, but I have no issues at all with this hood and would buy one again.

Deceiving reviews
Was skeptical about purchasing this item, because of all the mixed review, but I decided to give it a try because I did not want to purchase a good filter for $100+ at the moment for my 135mm f2.The item comes in a very simple box, with just the hood, at first, it felt like the hood was very loose, and would fall off if someone hit it from the sides, but after using it for couple hours, I don't find that to be the case. The hood does its job and is good at it, don't see where all this negative reviews are coming from.

It is what it is
What can you say, Canon made the worst lens hood mount in history when they created the 135. That said, this one fits. Slightly cheaper plastic than the original so the nubs on it grind down faster, but you're not paying the ridiculous price Canon wants. I'll buy this again once this hood becomes unuseable.

You get what you pay for
As others have said here, this hood is very hard to screw on. The quality is good but the mounting is wayyyyyyy too tight.

Couldn't have asked for more
Recently purchased a very clean used Canon 135mm 2 L (why would anyone get rid of this amazing lens?) that didn't come with the lens hood. I didn't want to pay for the OEM hood so I thought I'd give this a try. It fits perfectly, locks in and doesn't wobble. Amazing value.

Perfect for my Olympus 40-150 lens
My Olympus lens hood was damaged and I can't believe this Canon lens hood fits right in and better.

Pending return...
I have the 135mm L lens and bought this hood as a replacement, build quality is good, but, the hood does not attach very well to the lens itself. I feel like i'll break something if i twist it at all its that tight of a fit. Its also very difficult to take off. It feels as though i'm forcing a hood from a different lens onto the 135L.I called the folks at fotodiox.com, and they said that they have heard of this happening, but only a "few" people have had issues.

Cheap and a bit rough but does the job
The title kinda says it all. This isn't a great fit but does work and while it's not as smooth as the Canon OEM hood, it does work and serve the purpose of a hood. Recommended if you don't want to drop $50 on the Canon.
