If you own a Google Nexus 5, you'll probably encounter a screen jittering problem that renders your phone unusable.When it happened to mine, i looked at all sorts of fixes. factory reset didn't work, so Inarrowed it down to a hardware issue, and was able to isolate the culprit with a bit of research. If you're looking at this product, reading the reviews, then you already know that you need a flex cable.The flex cable in the Nexus 5 also includes the usb charging adapter, and a mic. It's responsible for distribution of power to the screen and other hardware on the phone, among other things.I looked at the other options on Amazon and found them to be a bit sketchy at best. If you need proof that this works and lasts, I changed my cable two months ago. I've typed this review on the phone this part went into.

If you find yourself in the same predicament as me, with a dysfunctional and flickering Nexus 5; don't try to do this on the cheap! Consult YouTube and find a detailed video description of the replacement procedure, and then go to the OmniRepairs site to purchase this kit. It is a little bit more expensive, but it has all the tools to ensure success. Unless you're a computer geek yourself or a watchmaker, I assure you that you don't have these tools at home. This kit arrived in two days, the flex cable was in perfect condition, and it was installed and working perfectly in 30 minutes. Make sure you have a high intensity light with you and be patient and gentle with the connections, especially the antenna removal/reattachment. If you have a pair of magnifying glasses or jewelers/surgeons' loupes you will make it even easier (not essential though).

My phone charges again!! The part looks and performs identical to the original. The tools were nice, there was actually a third screwdriver and a flexible metal opening tool that came with it that aren't in the picture. Omnirepairs has great communication, they contacted me to follow up and make sure I was happy with everything.

Before replacing my phone would take hours to charge, if it would charge at all, but now my phone charges to full in just about 3 hours. Replacement was also very easy following a YouTube video, many of which are readily available online.The extra tool kit is also a nice addition that made replacing the port that much easier.
