hammock underquilt

Not used over night but setup and it was amazing you could feel it hold the heat and now nice it felt can’t wait to use overnight

I bought this quilt + under blanket to stop getting "shoulder freeze" when hammock camping. I'm 6ft.3 and this one, I'm happy to say, it is plenty long enough to come up past my head AND go past my feet to keep me toasty warm! (Tested Nov 22) There are plenty of bungees and loop points so it's super adjustable to get the fit just right for your hang. The poppers on the blanket allow you to connect it to the under quilt for extra warmth and you can use it as a top quilt if the weather is a bit warmer. Very impressed with it and I would recommend it. Which I'd bought it sooner!

I am full time hammock sleeper. For over a year I was using DIY underquilt. It was ok, but I wasn't very happy as it was sliding from one side to other side. Finally I decided to buy this underquilt and what a difference it made. It is really well made, keeps me always warm in winter time, it looks good and snuggles my hammock perfectly. I highly recommend it.

I bought the 40f model and iv got to say for the money I am extremely impressed! The quality of stitching is of good standard and atm can find no faults. I can feel the wath within minutes! Took about 9 days to arrive. Now to save for the top quilt!

I've only taken this out to test a couple of times, but it lofts well, has plenty of adjustment and is very warm, we'll see what it's like this winter.

I was super excited about receiving this under quilt for my 11ft OneWind hammock. Upon testing the setup I found the hammock attachment points way too small and stiff to clip on. After spending way more time than expected and swearing, I finally managed to force them to connect. Finally when I sat down in the hammock one of the attachments ripped loose from the quilt which I am holding in my picture. I seriously wish the hammock would have used the same snap on buttons the quilt already comes with. Not paying for the return, so I am retrofitting my hammock to accommodate.

I really like the look of this underquilt, hopefully the double layer design will be extra warm when I use it in the winter months.

A great quilt for hammocking or other uses. I use this as an overquilt along with my Onewind underquit and stay plenty warm on nights in the cool 40s. If it gets colder than that, attaching the quilt to the underquilt is a snap. I haven't had a chance to test the lower boundaries of this arrangement yet, but I expect it to keep me warm past the freezing point. The underquilt and quilt come in twin bags that strap easily to either side of my bag without throwing off the balance. It's a small backpack, so saving the space inside helps a lot.

I bought the large 220cm long underquilt combo and while I haven't yet tried the blanket, the underquilt alone is superb! The attachments and clips can be a bit confusing at first, but after messing around with them for a 10-minutes -or so- it'll make sense. I slept 10 nights with the underquilt from warm to 10 degrees celsius nights and barely needed anything else to keep the temp at a comfortable level. Can't wait to try it with the bundle blanket. Only frustrating thing is that the bag is tiny, while stuffing the underquilt into it is possible it is not fun. Also Onewind offers an attachment from the underquilt to hammock ridgeline which provides better fit thus warmer setup. Unfortunately this "attachment clip" is not included or available in the amazon store. Also the provided user manual is not good. Can't wait for a lighter/warmer down underquilt and topquilt from onewind!

I checked a lot of brands offering underquilts as I'm not a fan of spending lots of money on quality that I can find in lower priced brands. There are many reviews out there but I decided to give Onewind Outdoors a try considering the features that this product has. My boyfriend is 5'8", so finding something that envelopes his entire underside was very important to me so he can sleep comfortably and won't feel cold especially when camping outdoors. This camping underquilt definitely toasts you warm on chilly nights. It's advertised as made with 400T Nylon Fabic with Dupont Sorona fiber insulation so it's really soft and comfortable. The water resistant fabric is another great feature as I can be rest assured that I won't get wet even if the underquilt gets pelted a little. I would definitely recommend this product. It lighter than other UQs and compacts down to the size of my down-sleeping bag. Again, not a fan of reaching deep into my pockets to buy equipment from a top brand company when I can purchase something at a fraction of the cost and of the same, if not better, quality overall.

All around a great underquilt. Warm, lightweight, easy to use, high quality, great price, and versatile. The warmth surprised me. On my first use I doubled the underquilt with the Onewind attachable quilt and used my Hammock Gear down quilt over top. This was overkill on a night in the low 40s F. Since then I have used the underquilt on it's own with the Onewind quilt over top of me, and I expect to use this configuration until fall when night time temps get into the 30s F and beyond. Perhaps the greatest pro to this underquilt is the versatility. It is easy to adjust and can be left loose for warm nights or tightened to your body for cool nights. With the Onewind quilt it can be adapted to cold nights. The design can accommodate all types of hammock sleepers, whether you lie straight or diagonally. The sides of the underquilt rise up above you in the hammock, effectively insulating you on 3 sides and blocking out all wind. I have used this underquilt on nights with a bitter cold wind coming off the lake and never felt the wind except when I poked my head or arm up above the underquilt. Negatives are few. The cords are many, and they can get tangled around each other while hanging the hammock. This effects the ease of adjusting the underquilt a little bit, but mostly it sets off my OCD and I have to straighten them out. Straightening them is simple enough though, and then the underquilt is easy to adjust even from within your hammock. The stuff sacks is a perfect and tight fit for the underquilt, and there isn't any extra room in there. The sack has an opening on each end for convenience while hanging, but I find it is easier to remove the underquilt from the bag completely so that I can straighten out the cords. I am considering buying or making a bigger double ended stuff sack so that I can fit both the underquilt, Onewind quilt, and hammock all together for a quick, one-step hang. I wholeheartedly recommend this underquilt.
