Most pencils, once sharpened down to a stub, essentially serve no further use. Here at democratech, we've created a solution to combat this waste. A pencil with a seed inside, Sprout can be planted when it becomes too short to use. What was once a writing utensil soon blooms into a flower, herb, or vegetable! How to Plant: • Press the labeled side of your Sprout into the soil so that only the green part is covered. Ensure that you plant Sprout in a location where it will receive plenty of sunlight. • Water your Sprout in order to activate the seed capsule and begin the seed's germination. Continue to water every day so that the soil stays moist. • If there is a still a pencil stub leftover, it can be used as a helpful labeled planting marker or removed. Further Recommendations: We have planted hundreds of Sprouts and found that they usually germinate in about two weeks. We strongly encourage storing Sprout in a cool, dry place until planting time. For best results, plant Sprout by its first birthday and follow gardening best-practices.
