Good value replacement for original keyboard
My original keyboard on my Surfacr zero 4 stopped working after several years. This new keyboard is very high quality at a good price. It is a great replacement for the original one.

What you’d expect
Out of the box, there was nothing wrong with the keyboard. Everything worked: the keyboard had no connection issues (connected automatically without me having to think about it) and the key sizes felt natural. However, the trackpad always felt too small, you couldn’t get from one end of the screen to the other in one fluid motion. For “clicking” it felt flimsy, like it was going to pop-out at any moment.Later in the products life, some keys just flat out stopped working for some reason. Right now, the left hand alt key, h and g don’t work and I’ve been starting to have some problems with the “fn” key.It worked well for a couple months, and I absolutely adored having a keyboard whenever and wherever, however, if you plan on using the surface as more than just a pure entertainment machine, then you’ll probably end up having to get the Microsoft brand keyboard anyway. This keyboard is decent for its price, yes, but long term, Microsoft’s keyboard is probably better.

Perfect addition to my surface pro
It was time to update my keyboard, I was still using the original keyboard from when I bought my surface pro in 2020 and it had began to lose connectivity and break into pieces.I love the Bluetooth aspect of this keyboard, it means I can type from a plethora of different opinions. I love the backlight options. It is extremely lightweight, not too dissimilar to the original keyboard.

Broken trackpad
Bought it to replace my surface keyboard however after 2 days of use, the trackpad stopped working entirely. Everything else about it is great though.

Does everything required
This keyboard does everything I required. It can be used as a keyboard /touchpad entry simultaneously with using the touch screen facility. This gives the benefit of both without any obvious negatives. The cover back is of good quality and provides neat fit and protection. Both tablet and keyboard require turning on but this is no delay as the board is faster than the boot. Previous bluetooth pairing of board and tablet does not require renewal. Board is separately charged, but no history yet on life of charge. Keys are marked and work as UK standard, but other actions can be set.

Poor design!
I needed a new keyboard for my Surface, and spotted this, so ordered one as it looked like it was a really good bit of kit, but...After pairing it, which I thought was a little strange at first, considering it connects to the Surface port on the bottom of my device, I then realized that it did nothing other than keeping it connected via the magnetic strip. The keyboard itself feels more or less exactly like the Microsoft original one, apart from the LEDs which not only glow through the key cap's, but also from around the bottom which isn't a problem if you are typing whilst sitting over the keyboard, but if you are sitting with the Surface on your knee, then the led's are left giving a lovely glow, but also it glares in your line of sight. (picture included, taken in daylight, but it gives you an idea of what I am trying to show you)The worst thing though is after less than a day of use, the trackpad buttons kept sticking in the corners, which means whatever you are clicking on, can open up dozens of extra windows! I actually had the left-hand side stick down, and remain stuck despite tapping at it to try and free it off! Obviously, the springs in the trackpad are not strong enough. And when you close the keyboard, it doesn't turn the screen off, so if you are not aware of it, then you could end up with a flat battery very quickly, not to mention a hot tablet if you store it in a bag. (picture included)One other thing about the keyboard, because it's Bluetooth and does not connect to the Surface, to draw any power, it means the keyboard itself needs a battery, which makes it feel rather heavy when left connected to the surface.Needless to say I have sent it back!

Great replacement for a surface pro
Great keyboard for the price to replace the original surface one, just as nice and only slightly heavier so you would not notice. Sometimes only very occasionally you have to reconnect the Bluetooth but for the price and feel of the keyboard that is not an issue.

Works for PC - Almost perfect keyboard.
Very good keyboard. I use it for PC. Inateck should consider producing these just for PC. Some people like me, just want to use small keyboards. Touchpad is very good to have as well and the area works for wrist support well - (Inateck touchpad has a bit rough surface, I hope it will be more smooth in next model). To Inateck => the charging connection is at the bottom, this is not handy place when you want to use mouse, please move it to the top in your next model - closer to the power button.Almost perfect keyboard.
