It is easy to install
Bought this a while back but wanted to test it thoroughly before giving a review. It is well made. The finish blends in well so it does not stand out and attract immediate notice and it has a very slim profile from the rider perspective. It is easy to install. Most importantly , it works. Push to engage. Push to disengage. And like all throttle locks should work, you can override it manually. Also it DOES work with electronic throttles that do not use a throttle cable. About the only negative I have found is minor and that is from the side view it is a little ugly hanging down from the grip and it rotates with the grip which enhances the effect. But it is not bulky and takes up NO grip space and it works. I use it often.

I really wanted to like this product but it has turned out to be ...
Let me make this clear, This IS a very well made product. You can see it's quality in the build materials used.HOWEVERThe force it takes to actually engage the throttle lock is insane. My motorcycle surges forward dangerously anytime I tried to use it.Now you might be thinking I have it setup wrong or too near to the throttle wall. NOPEI tried everything to loosen the need to press the button so hard. Even with the lock off the motorcycle all together it is way way way too hard.I really wanted to like this product but it has turned out to be completely useless...

Beware of Return Policy
Bought two of these for my bikes; a BMW and KLR. Product Didn't fit my BMW Motorcycle, unfortunately a 30 day return window closed before I could return. Now I'm the owner of a $135 Paper Weight.

The Atlas throttle lock didn't work for me - sorry
It didn't work for me - sorry. I see wonderful reviews around and understand why some folks love it. I respect the opinion and reasons for liking it.I did not feel comfortable using it since it sat on the throttle unit, in other words, the entire Atlas throttle lock revolves around with the throttle as you ride. Therefore, it takes some coordination to push the rather stiff and sharp metallic button to engage the throttle lock. Again, some riders may be totally fine with it, but I was not. I prefer to have the unit sit on the handlebar or against the switch housing. Pressing a button or a lever would take much less effort and involve much less dram to engage while keeping most of your right hand remains on the throttle.I also realized that I am not a fan of restricting the motion of the throttle by moving an object laterally (sideways) to cause friction. It slightly bends the entire unit.Lastly, I found the price to be too high. I can justify paying up to ~$65 or so, but $130 is too much even considering R/D cost.Honestly, I was excited about it and wanted to like it until I started using it on my ST1300. I have ordered a Vista cruise ($21) instead and I think I will like it more. It is lighter, cheaper, much less complex, easier to engage, and will be affixed to the switch assembly/housing instead of the throttle body.

Great Throttle Lock
This was very easy to install and works very well. Got it for my 2016 Indian Scout. The button is a little hard to push in to set, but it disengages fairly easy. Definitely not a cruise control, but it is not advertised as so. Certainly great if your riding for a while and just need to give your right hand a break from the throttle. Will work great for me until (or if) Indian decides to make a cruise control for the Scout.

Good for a KLR at least!
While I don't have one on my current motorcycle (C14), I did have one on my KLR, and it was really good once I got it where I needed it. It helps with the trottle numbness when on long trips, and tooting down the road. Sadly, it went with the KLR when I traded it in. The hardware will rust, though, when left unprotected. I never had the KLR under a cover cause, well, its a KLR.Will I get another for the concours? Indeed I will. It will definitely help on those long highway rides I'm planning, once I get it dialed in.

This is the best throttle lock that I have ever used
I am a senior citizen and have been riding motorcycles all of my life. This is the best throttle lock that I have ever used. It is actually a throttle brake because you can still accelerate and decelerate with it on. It is smooth and tames the vibration in the throttle grip. It is easy to install and requires no modification to the bike. I put it on an Indian Scout. It installed in minutes and works flawlessly.
