Scotch Tear By Hand Mailing Packaging Tape, 1.88 in x 50 yd., Clear, 4 Rolls/Pack (3842-4)

If you shop online like me, and regularly return unwanted items thru mail or courier, this is hands down the best tape around.... I love that it is tear-by-hand.... no need to find scissors or one of those tape dispensers. Super easy. I keep rolls of this in several spots in my house (kitchen, office, junk drawer, etc.) Difficult to find in stores anymore, but this is still my favorite packing tape.

This is great tape.It works well in holding boxes together yet is easily torn; thus reducing the need for scissors and a free hand.One thing that I particularly liked about this product was that when the 'end' of the tape fell against the roll it was easily lifted.Too often I run into rolls of tape that when the tape falls back on the roll and I go to lift it again I get a percentage of the tape to release and the rest sticks thus creating a disaster … lol You all know what I am talking about.This tape was a lightening deal and was great. We still have three rolls.The only thing I can think of that didn't work great with this tape was the amount of noise that it produced when using it. The glue against the plastic produces an extremely loud noise; but this is the case with most products like this one and again the strength of the tape in securing packages has not disappointed.I will be buying this tape again when it runs out.

I buy this tear tape because it tears. Easily. I can hang stuff, pack boxes and close them with this, mail packages taped closed. I guess I'm a dork because I can't seem to handle the tape dispensers that have the blade that cuts the tape. I always make a mess of it. Tear tape makes me feel accomplished. I can tape because I can tear!

Scotch is the best. I hate it when I buy cheaper tapes and they don’t stick too well. The tear by hand is super convenient. The only complaint that I have is that I bought these same tapes a few times, but every time I get them, the thickness varies. Sometimes it feels very heavy duty and sometimes I get a thinner batch. They all stick well, so despite the inconsistency of the thickness of the tape, I am happy.

Great tape to prepare packages without needing a third hand or sizzors. Where can i get this??? Great product!!!

I like the fact that it is self rip and the adhesive sticks very well without lifting. Overall, it is easy to use and very affordable.

I've been using this tape for years. It's been invaluable. Unfortunately, it's not only hard to find at a reasonable price, it's hard to find at any price! So when I saw the 4-pack of large rolls on at Amazon for $13.99 I jumped on it. It's been even lower at times, but it's a bargain at fourteen bucks. Is it expensive compared to other shipping tape? Of course, but for our household it's invaluable.Because it doesn't require a blade to cut it, we've taken it wherever we've traveled and it's come in very handy at times. For example, in Mexico we used it to secure plastic bags around boogie boards to help prevent damage when checked in as airline baggage. It held fast to the glossy surface of the bags and came out of the plane intact. I know one reviewer here said it wouldn't adhere to bubble envelopes (I assume with glossy plastic exteriors), but it's worked great for us on all sorts of surfaces.We've also used it to seal big, heavy, boxes of Christmas gifts to send ahead of us so it would be delivered before we arrived. We've done this for several years and the tape hasn't failed in any way.In addition to keeping it around the house, I keep a roll in my car and suitcase at all times. It won't take the place of heavy duty tape, like duct tape, of course, but for a packaging tape it has been versatile and useful.

This tape is a godsend when you don't find yourself as adept with those hand-guided tape rollers or scissors...this tape tears easily by hand! I would have given it 5 stars but for the fact that it has a tendency to start peeling off if you use it to store items in boxes for long periods of time. Otherwise, it's great for mailing packages. I use it all the time.

This stuff is the BEST!!!! No fuss tape to return shipments when you have to. Amazon should give this stuff for free with a Prime membership!
