Department 56North Pole Village Nutcracker Factory Animated Lit Building, 7.09 Inch, Multicolor

I have over a dozen Dept 56 village houses. I love the bright color of this one. It’s so christmasy. Love the gold on it. In the picture it shows it hooking up by USB. But it has an regular adapter, not USB .

The media could not be loaded. It's a beautiful house but all my other Dept 56 North Pole series houses light up a lot more. The nutcracker rotates too, a minor detail I missed before ordering. I find that the moving parts on these house always stop working after 3-5 years which is disappointing for the cost. I really wanted to love this one but I just don't.

We have many of the original and subsequent North Pole pieces. We enjoy them very much. I think that quality has taken a hit over the years. I like when the translucent walls of a structure show a bit of light. Too many pieces now are dark. This piece is somewhat dark, but is a good addition to our collection. But, it is overly expensive.
