There's nothing like it, and for the right project/use, it is amazing.
There really is nothing like this product on the market. I will say that you need to be very prepared to use this immediately and quickly, as it will dry out as you work. The container it comes in leaves something to be desired as well, because it will dry out if you don't wrap it in plastic. I like to take it out when I buy it, wrap it in plastic wrap, and stick it back in the tub. That being said, if you know this, and use it correctly on the right projects, it's wonderful. You can use a push mold and then immediately remove it, usually by turning it over and letting gravity help you pull it out. Sometimes, I can push from the underside and help it. The thing is, this isn't for every project. If you need a medium that will allow you some play time to work it, this isn't for that project, but if you want a medium that you can stuff in a push mold, and immediately use, this is it. Once you get it out, it is actually sturdy enough to gently push onto a surface to glue it. I like wood glue, but I often use a dab of super glue to immediately stick it somewhere and wood glue to really adhere it for good. It will crack as it dries sometimes, but some filler fixes that. Like I said, it's not for every project, so you trade the occasional cracking for the ability to immediately de-mold and glue. If you need 20 of that same mold made and have one mold, you don't have to wait for 20 other clays to dry in the meantime. Sure, you can use polymer clay for that quick cure bit, but this is flexible and able to be glued to rounded objects after you take it out of the mold, where polymer clay cannot once it's baked, and hard to bake curved. I have bought this several times, and tested dozens of modeling clays and this is just the perfect medium for the projects that I do. The trade of the quickly drying, and cracking is just so worth it for the ability to make 20 of the same mold in minutes. I can paint it with any paint I have tried so far, and sand it when I need to as well. I love it.

Good but....
Good for using in my prima moulds but after comparing a exact moulding made from this and one done in Das air dry clay the one made with the prima modelling material had shrunk quite considerably when dry compared to the Das stayed the exact size.

Great medium for the most detailed projects
This product was very easy to use. It held its shape while being removed from the mould and dried in a reasonable amount of time. I colored it using ink from a stamp pad, the ink did not rub off and thr color stayed true.

One container open!
One of the containers was open rendering the air dry clay unusable. There is no option at Amazon to report a partial fault so it looks like I’m stuck with half of what I paid for!

Complete rubbish
Absolute garbage!! First, the cheap tub with pressure-fit lid is a joke. You have to burp it continually or it will pop open, even at room temp, and dry out. Second, you get a tiny amount in each of the two tubs. Third, the material SHRINKS HORRIBLY!! I prepared my base accordingly; my project had a metal substrate, to which I sprayed two thin coats of high quality primer made to adhere to metals and which was also was made for acrylic paints. After drying 24 hours between primer coats and THEN curing 48 hours after the final coat, I used acrylic paint to coat my entire project and then let THAT dry for over a day. After all of that prep, I molded my Prima Marketing Re-Design Mould - Herbology with the molding material which was so dry it kept breaking; I had to keep adding more water to get the right consistency. It was still so difficult to remove from the mold (the mold has ridiculously thin, tiny choke points that do not allow the material to hold together, causing it to fall apart), which I do by turning the mold upside down and "peeling" the material out as it theoretically sets itself onto the desktop - I also used a stiff paint brush to assist getting the material out of the molds. I should add that I prepped the molds using baby powder to alleviate any release issues. I used cornstarch for the same thing, thinking the talcum powder was an issue. I was constantly misting the fast-drying material in my hand and conditioning it before gently pressing into the prepped molds. It took hours to make a dozen small flowers and herbs. I used Ranger Tim Holtz Collage Medium to adhere the freshly molded material to my project, draping a damp paper towel over the still damp material as recommended on their website. I dried in an air-conditioned room at a constant 70 degrees. IT SHRANK SO BADLY AS IT DRIED THAT IT PULLED ALL OF THE PAINT FROM MY SUBSTRATE WHERE IT HAD BEEN ADHERED! To add insult to injury, the (recommended) paper towel stuck to some of the material and I had to spend time removing that, too. As an alternative fix, I molded more (more hours of my life I'll never get back) and dried them flat, also according to directions. They curled so horribly that I could not use them for anything in my project. The material that was adhered onto my project is also very brittle - I have glued several pieces that broke off less than a week after applying.I will NEVER buy another product by this manufacturer. They're overpriced and under-performing. Save your money.
