Does what I need
I can't read with the LED lights, and this was about the only one I found in the price range. Had it for 2 years and use it about 2 times per week to read. I normally plug it in, but the battery feature is nice. It's heavy enough that it stays put where ever I want it. Definitely enough soft, easy light for the eyes to read at night.

Love this reading light
It works fine for needle work and reading at night without turning on other lights.The only complaint is that the battery lasts short time only. However, I use the A/V adapter. It works much better.It's very nice for reading a magazine on bed cuz the focused light makes me feel comfortable reading and also get sleepy sooner. If reading from other devise like computer screen it reduces sleepiness.

Good Idea, Poor Construction
The design of this light is pretty good, but it failed to work after a while. I think it is because the wiring is poorly put together and is stressed by the opening and closing of the device. I wish it hadn't failed on me, because it was really handy.
