The Book of Revelation for Blockheads: A User-Friendly Look at the Bible’s Weirdest Book Paperback – September 2, 2007

As a student of eschatology I purchased this book because I was looking for a means to easily explain Tribulation to my grandchildren. I'm a big fan of this authors bible studies so I took a leap of faith.This book was supposed to be about Tribulation, and it is. However, I personally do not think the author's opinion on the rapture theory should have been shared. He absolutely has a right to author anything he wants to, but this was supposed to be about the Tribulation that's coming or has already started.There is a 50/50 split in the pre-trib verses post-trib debate between Believers. It's my point of view that this book would have been more effective if it would have been unbiased in regard to the rapture theory. The effect of Tribulation will be the same no matter if Believers are still here or not.

An excellent explanation of Revelation. Explains what it means and only occasionally talks about all the optional interpretations. Cuts through the unclear graphic description to the interpretation.

I found this book very helpful as a commentary for my first real study of Revelation. It was written in plain, easy to understand, language, with even a little humor...hard to find in most commentaries. But at the same time, it was true to the gospel message. It focused on Jesus. Although the view was pre trib, it was fair in presenting the different interpretations of the areas of Revelation where it is not clear. Lots of interesting facts as background as well as quotes from other commentators. All in all, I really appreciated this book

Received book in good condition and sooner than anticipated.The book gives several explanations for the imagery but it's still a good idea to read the King James or HIV Version of the book of Revelation before you begin reading in The Book of Revelation. Overall it is a good aid to understanding the book of Revelation. I'm glad I ordered it.

We just started a small group study on the book of Revelation and have been using this book as a reference as we go. The book parallels the Bible and explains things in a way that can be understood. It has been a great help to all of us in the group. Let's face it - the book of Revelation is not easy to tackle even for the greatest of scholars. This book takes away the intimidation and is a great learning tool.

This is a great book for those who want a easy to understand commentary to the Bible's Book of Revelation. It has brought about insights to the Book of Revelation that I have read or studied at church and so forth, only this book helps to make it plainer and helps you in your visualization of the days to come. Very well done.

This is simple and easy-to-use, which makes the Book of Revelation less threatening to study. Good to initiate discussion in Sunday School classes and move at a slower, more thorought pace.
