Extremely difficult but gorgeous end result.
I had no idea what kind of puzzle I had purchased, only that I wanted an appropriate one for the Easter celebrations that was meaningful and spiritually significant. Upon opening the plastic bag and viewing the contents I was struck with the difficulty of the size and irregular shapes of the pieces, as small as a dime in some cases. I have always started puzzles with assembling the border and then filling the inside. This one was very challenging since the border pieces in some cases had two sides which were straight. However, with perseverance I stuck with it until the border was completed and I could begin to work on the individual scenes. All in all I was able to complete the puzzle in seven days--I don't know how thaat compares with other's effforts. I am very pleased with the final product and have applied several coats of Mod poge to both sides as I wanted to keep this as a permanent Easter decoration. However, the thickness of the puzzle board and layers of adhesive are not sufficient to maintain sufficient rigidity for handling and display so I plan to visit an art store for some additional backing like poster board or similar material. I am sure I will find the proper backing to stabilize this beautiful puzzle for many years of enjoyment. Thank you for creating this most appropriate display of the real meaning of Easter and Christmas combined!!!Update, 4/24: I found the poster board at Michael's which measured 24 x 36, requiring only about 4 inches to be removed from the bottom and leaving only about 1/4 inch unprotected on the side arms of the cross. The sturdy puzzle was now fortified and can be handled nicely for future use. In the process I updated the rating to 5 stars.

Great gift for teens
This puzzle arrived very promptly and in time for gifting during the holidays. It went to a Catholic family with three teens and instantly became a family hit when gifts were opened. The whole family and extended family had fun participating in putting it together - even family members who were not "religious". The recipient (a teenage boy) and his two older sisters spent the next two weeks of vacation working on the puzzle and finished before returning to school. The quality of the image was great! The family was so pleased that they're now laminating the constructed puzzle to make in into a wall decoration for their family room. Everyone in the family was delighted to see a well-designed Christian puzzle that the family could work on together and enjoy for many years afterwards. It was a great purchase.

Whole section of pieces missing.
This is a very challenging puzzle with pieces that are cut in all kinds of shapes. The puzzle is a lot of fun to put together. However an entire section of pieces was missing - not a single piece or even randomly placed pieces - an entire section. Will return and order another, hoping to get full puzzle.update: was not able to reorder at original price. :(

fun and moderately difficult
all the pieces were there, the puzzle pieces were a little mushy when assembled they didnt clik into place... the colors were good and the scenes were devotional if not biblical... the typical Italian stylized Jesus rather than as an Orthodox Jew from that period...the bad: the puzzle frame did NOT match the picture also the exterior shape was not cut evenly... the edges were wavy and areas were trimmed that were not in the picture... 1 star deductionhints on assembly:dont try to assemble the frame first its several layers thick with some straight edge puzzle shapes that are not the outside edge.... sort the frame pieces out, they are obvious, and put them aside then sort each scene into 5 seperate piles... one pile for each scene, dont try to assemble the center Jesus first there are too many of the same color, instead focus on the assembly of the other 4 scenes leaving the pieces for the center and misc. pieces you dont recognize as a 'draw' pile... you will have to assemble by puzzle shape for the center... when you do the frame which is the last pile of pieces pay special attention to the edges they are different which actually helps with the frame assembly... i decopaged this glued it to foam core and gave it to a friend with an autistic child... i'm sure they will enjoy it....

Loved it, Not for beginners
Loved it we do puzzles a lot and this one rocked our world. It is difficult. We were up to the challenge. We do a lot of puzzles, this one was the only one we glued and hung in the hall way because we wanted to remember the challenge, I love the pictures too. It was so perfect our first puzzle that really tested our ability was that of our Lord and savior. I did wish a large picture (not the box picture) came with it. When two people are working on it we fight over the picture. Plus usually puzzles come with a larger poster like picture to help, It would have been very helpful. Loved it anyway.

Beautiful but difficult
I consider myself something of a puzzle "expert," as I typically have a 1,000 piece in progress and have for years. That said, I found this one pretty difficult. The pieces are varying sizes (some as tiny as a few millimeters!) and different shapes. Yet the finished product is so attractive, it just makes the challenge more rewarding!
