ThermoPro TP50 Digital Hygrometer Indoor Thermometer Room Thermometer and Humidity Gauge with Temperature Monitor

After recently moving to south Florida and installing a mini-split AC in our garage, I wanted to see how well it held the temperature, and more importantly, how it did with the humidity. This little gadget really did the trick as it is accurate to about 1/2 a degree with the temperature and appears to show an accurate number for humidity based on the feel in the garage. Since I store a lot of items in the garage that used to be in a basement back in Missouri, I was concerned that the humidity would ruin things, especially electronics and metal items. Adding this to monitor what the AC is doing was a fantastic investment as it works well and has strong magnets to hold onto the metal shelving where I store items.

This product is a combined thermometer and hygrometer (humidity meter). The display is easy to read, with large digits for the instantaneous readings, but no back-light. Running minimum and maximum values are shown for both temperature and humidity. I own two of these, and the temperature readings are always within 2 degrees Fahrenheit and the humidity measurements are always within 2% of each other when in the same place. There is a magnet on the back which holds the device well, and a kick-stand for table-top use.

A great tool for baking Sourdough bread, records the high and low temperature during bulk fermentation. Easy to read and lights up too. You can use "blue tooth" and read the output on your phone if you place this in your proofing box. Checked the accuracy of this to a much higher priced electronic temperature gauge and there was only a point (.2) difference, and I don't know which one is off! The unit is somewhat small but has a nice big and clear readout. For the money I just don't know how you could beat this!

So right out of the box, this thermometer/humidity sensor was off. Way off. I know this because I have several other sensors I compared it to as soon as I installed the included battery.I planned to return it, but it sat in the box for a few days and I ordered a replacement for it. When I got the replacement (different brand) I took out this thermometer/humidity sensor and placed it next to the replacement one and one other I already owned. And to my surprise, they all three were within one degree of each other.Bottom line—it works.nits reasonably priced. And they even throw in the battery for it. Would buy again.

They display just about everything you’d need it to, and it’s pretty accurate (tested alongside other devices I have and trust). Dropped one in my travels on a concrete floor pretty hard, still operating properly. Barely even gauged the plastic (was expecting to pick it up to car crash damage, one of those drops). For the price, if you’re complaining it’s probably something on your end honestly.

The display is big enough to be read easily. The biggest plus for me is that it uses AAA batteries instead of 2032 batteries. The previous thermometer I had used 2032s and the battery would only live for several months before needing to be replaced. It's now been 5 months on the original batteries and the display is as solid as the battery was new.

I bought this thermometer because the one that the school installed in my classroom did not work. This has worked perfectly since day one. Super easy to use, it displays humidity and temperature perfectly so that I know what the needs of my classroom environment are, and it is super durable. My kids have knocked it off my chalkboard multiple times and it still has not broken. It is very easy to read, however, I will say I wish the screen would light up or brighten. I do find myself many times having to walk over and get right up to see it. However, it is a fantastic product.
