Q: I'm a 6'1" adult with size 12 feet. could i use these? i mostly want to use them for short hills in my neighborhood and some tricks. possible?

We sell complete sets of ski straps separately which can be used to fit larger boots than size 10. Please note that taller kids and adults require stronger balancing skills than smaller people to stay in control on short skis. Thick-soled boots can be comfortably attached on top of the side rims of the skis. This does not affect your safety or control. Kids' boots normally slot in between the side rims. Your stability is controlled by the firm straps either way.

Q: Do the "bindings" allow the heel to lift up similar to cross country skis?

The heel lift is essential for changing direction on XC and Telemark skis. It also allows more dynamic forward movement in straight tracks. For our short mini skis control and safety are improved by firmly attached straps. They should be crossed at the heel and cinched by the side of your ankle. It's a simple manoeuvre explained in the enclosed manual. Hope this helps, Team Magnus

You can buy extra Team Magnus ski straps which are easily used to extend the width of heel or boot toe which can be securely attached to the Tundra wolf skis. The skis are best used by kids and adults with a good sense of balance - they offer little friction (glide easily) .

Q: Do these work well for first time young children?

These are fine for flat areas to get used to, but I don't recommend them for anything downhill.
