Gibson Holiday Gold Holly Charm 20 Piece Dinnerware Set

First two orders came broken. When I went to order the second set the price had gone up! Amazon credited me the difference but second set arrived broken as well. Third set was from a different vendor and I ordered it not knowing I would not be credited my bank account the difference but got an Amazon credit instead. I feel I overpaid for these dishes and will be ordering them from replacements instead. Third set arrived okay.

I bought a set of these about seven years ago from a store. I recently decided that I would like another set. Amazon had them for the best price so, despite the reviews about the dishes arriving broken, I ordered a set. The first set did indeed arrive with a broken dish since they packed it by putting the dish box in a cardboard box and put a couple of feet of packing paper around it. That's all. It's amazing that they all weren't broken. To get a replacement I had to reorder it. I did and kept the first box until the second one arrived. It also had a broken dish but between the two boxes I had an unbroken set and I sent the first box back with all the broken pieces. Next, I took them out to use on Christmas and what do I find? The new set has a silver stripe instead of a gold one, and the 'dinner' plates are luncheon size instead of the dinner size of my original set. Also, the design is in a skinnier stripe around the edge of the plate. They both say Gibson on them but the newer sets are obviously a cheaper knockoff. If you have nothing to compare them to then you only have to deal with the poor packing and the small dinner plate size. Despite my extreme disappointment, I am keeping them for lack of a better option.

These dishes came just in time for Christmas dinner-- in spite of the weather! And ALL of them came in great shape, nothing chipped or broken, as mentioned in other reviews!

dinnerware is gorgeous but the shipping pack stunk I ordered 3 sets all 3 were put in an oversized box with no protective packaging. so needless to say I had broken pieces in each box, a total of 9

One plate was broken, no information as to what i could do about it included in the box with the dishes.

I have 12 dinner plates, 12 bowls, 12 salad, 12 saucers and 12 cups, sugar, cream, serving platter and bowl for $75. Yours is overpriced!!
