I found it more of an overview of the therapeutic process.
I am currently studying child counselling and found a lot of this book was skippable, although some good ideas for group work towards the end in the chapters by the editor. There are very few detailed case studies and most of the book concentrates on children who have experienced a traumatic event, such as the 9-11 disaster, rather than familial trauma. It seems to be written for those still unconvinced by the effectiveness of play and art therapy. It could be quite helpful for those working with victims of natural disasters.
